💚 We are so grateful to all those who supported our inaugural Grassroots League for 2025, linking together the very best of grass pony shows in Kilkenny; Ballyfoyle Agricultural Show, Inistioge Horse & Pony Show, CastlegannonShow, Iverk Show and The Dunnamaggin Gymkhana. 🌱

Our Final at Dunnamaggin on Sunday was a great success, and we hope we will see you all again in Summer 2026. ☀️🍀

Kicking off at Ballyfoyle Agricultural Show on Sunday 29th June, the new SJI Grassroots League aims to bring together five greenfield shows in Kilkenny, celebrating local tradition, community spirit and the heart of grassroots showjumping 💚

‼️TWO APPEARANCES AHEAD OF THE FINAL REQUIRED IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR PRIZES ‼️

📌 INFO & RULES FOR GRASSROOTS LEAGUE 2025 📌

We are delighted to share further info and rules for the 2025 Grassroots League. We are THRILLED to announce a €500 Prize Fund at the Final at The Dunnamaggin Gymkhana for:

138 80cm
138 90cm
138 1m
148 90cm
148 1m
148 1.10m

+ incredible Prizes in Kind for Newcomers 60cm & 70cm 🤩

RULES:
• Minimum of 2 appearances + Final to be eligible for prizes at final.
• A Leading Pony & Rider Award will be awarded at the Final for the highest accumulated points in each class throughout the league.
• Classes will run under Article 274.5.1.8N Two Phase Modified (Novice) and Article 274.5.2.8N Two Phase Modified (Open).
• Rosettes & Prize for the Best Turned Out Pony & Rider combination in each class at each leg of the league.
• Final is a competition in its own right.
• Novice scoring system: 30pts for Double Clear round (10pts for appearance, 10pts for clear R1 and 10pts for clear R2).
• Open scoring system: 10pts for 1st, 8pts for 2nd, 6pts for 3rd, 4pts for 4th 5th 6th, 2pts for appearance.
