P***e here , im heading up to Lacken for 7pm if anyone wants to get a bit of a 4ball going . It would be great to get some members used to competitive games .

Was up playing the Lacken tonight and one thing really hit me !
It was a windy rainy night and we had at least 12 members out practicing. The competitive spirit is starting to flourish in the club again .
I won't mention any names but I was playing with a young man who has only been playing the game a few weeks and he finished his round with two birdies on 17 and 18 .
The game is alive and kicking in Kilkenny again and its great to see.
Any families that would like join just come on up and try out the game ......You won't regret it!!°

Id just like to say thanks to Daragh Walsh and all at Peter Walsh Manufacturing for there kind gift of a notice board for Lacken Pitch & Putt .
They are a great company based in Threecastles and are responsible for the production and delivery of most of the school furniture in Ireland .
This noticeboard will be used for competition notices . If our players are half as competitive as the lads at Peter Walsh Manufacturing then our club will be winning big prizes very soon.

SUNDAY SINGLES !!!

This Sunday we are running a 36 hole singles strokeplay for the members . Registration starts at 10am and groups will tee off as soon after that as possible .

36 holes will become the norm⁸ going forward as most P&P qualifier comps are this format .
For the first few weeks we will only count your best 18 .
This will also help people who have time constraints and can only play one round .

I will hopefully see you on Sunday and best of luck to all competitors .

JUVENILE COMPETITION !!!

Right guys and gals , Its time for all our members to start showing their competitive spirits . Competitions are the only way forward.

This Sunday at 9.30 we will be running a juveniles singles competion . It will be a 18 hole singles and all juveniles must be at the clubhouse at for 9am for a competition briefing and a short explaining of some simple rules to get ye up and running .
All juveniles should have a ball marker , pen and pitch mark repairer with them . This will be the same for all .

Bring your A game . Its about to get interesting !!!

Oh and bring €3 entry fee aswell !!!

We had a fantastic turnout for our Tuesday Night Scramble last night.

The atmosphere was brilliant, and the craic was second to none. It was great to see so many members and visitors enjoying a lovely evening on the course.

Thanks to everyone who took part we look forward to seeing you all again next Tuesday!
