After such a good first edition, the Winki Waves x Ruby Knox Longboard Coaching Weekend is back in Fanad from 28–30 August 2026.

3 surf sessions, water & land coaching with Ruby + Alessandro, land drills, group video analysis, lodge life, breakfasts, pizza night and a family style dinner included.

For surfers who have surfed before and want to progress their longboarding.

Most people arrive solo.

Then there’s the first surf, the first shared meal, the first sauna after the ocean, the first Donegal drive with a car full of people who were strangers yesterday.

That’s the bit we love about small-group surf camp.

You come for the waves — but the crew, the lodge, the slow evenings and the little moments in between are usually what stay with you.

Our first surf camp weeks start soon, with space from late June into July.

Meet your coaches for the Winki Waves x Ruby Knox Longboard Clinic. 🌊

From 5–7 June, Ruby Knox is joining us in Donegal for a small, focused longboard coaching weekend at the lodge.

Ruby brings beautiful style and serious competitive experience — Irish Longboard Champion and EuroSurf 2025 bronze medalist.

Alessandro, founder of Winki Waves, will be coaching alongside Ruby, bringing 6+ years of surf coaching, experience from seasons around the world, and winters spent learning from Australian waves around Bells Beach.

The idea is simple: a weekend for surfers who’ve surfed before and want to work on flow, style, technique and confidence — with feedback in the water, land sessions and video analysis.
