As we approach three years of our Thursday Night Running Group, we’re saying goodbye (for now) to one of the people who helped make it all happen.

Amy Arthur was there from the very beginning and played a huge part in getting the group off the ground. Over the past three years she has been a fantastic member of our running community, always bringing positivity, kindness and encouragement to those around her.

Amy is now heading off on her next adventure as she begins college. While we’ll miss having her with us on Thursday evenings, we’re excited to see what the future holds for her. She is a bright, hardworking and genuinely lovely young person, and we have no doubt she has a very successful future ahead.

On behalf of everyone in the group, we want to thank Amy for everything she has contributed over the years and wish her every happiness and success in college and beyond.

Good luck Amy ,we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. 🏃‍♀️🎓

Huge congratulations to Mark Bissett

An incredible achievement by Mark Bissett, completing the Kerry Way Ultra 200km in a fantastic time of 31 hours 50 minutes.

Mark finished 22nd from over 100 starters and, even more impressively, took 1st place in his age category.

The Kerry Way Ultra is a huge test of endurance, covering 200km of some of Kerry’s toughest and most spectacular trails.

Massive well done, Mark, from everyone at Kenmare AC. An outstanding performance and one to be very proud of.

Congratulations to Jade van Deventer, who delivered an outstanding performance in the Kerry Ultra Lite yesterday, finishing as the 1st female home and an impressive 10th overall out of 198 runners.

A fantastic achievement over the challenging 58km course. Well done, Jade — a result to be proud of!
