Fantastic results for our U10 boys in the long jump!

Maksymilian claimed 3rd place and Mateusz finished 6th, with their combined performances securing team gold. An excellent achievement by both athletes.

Fancy getting into running this summer

Join Kenmare Athletics Club every Thursday evening at 6:30pm outside the Butter Market.

We start with a friendly 3.5km warm-up run at approximately 6:00 min/km pace, with tail runners available, so if you’re a little slower, that’s absolutely fine , nobody gets left behind.

After the warm-up, we move on to interval sessions, if you’re feeling up to it you’re welcome to come along, give it a try, and do as much or as little as you feel comfortable with.

Whether you’re returning to running or want to improve , you’ll find a warm welcome. New faces are always welcome

Best of luck to our own Mark Bissett as he takes on the Tralee 100km Ultra this weekend.

With favourable weather forecast, conditions look set to be as good as you could hope for on such a demanding challenge. Covering 100km is a remarkable achievement in itself and will require plenty of determination, resilience, and grit.

Update , Due to Community Games county final , javelin coaching session will be postponed until a further date.

Javelin Coaching Session , This Sunday

Kenmare Athletics Club members and anyone interested in trying javelin are invited to attend a coaching session this Sunday in An Ríocht, starting at 10:00am.

The session will be led by David Littlejohn, An athletics Ireland certified throws coach, and is open to all abilities and ages, from 12 to 120 years old!

This will be the second session in the series and is a great opportunity to learn new skills, improve your technique, and help gauge interest in developing javelin coaching opportunities in Kerry.

Whether you’re an experienced athlete or completely new to the event, everyone is welcome.
