That's a wrap for the football anyway. Our U11 boys played their final football blitz for the year at home against Aodh Ruadh CLG.
Thanks to all the boys for their hard work all year. Hope all they all enjoyed it. All the coaches really enjoyed the year. Thanks to all parents for bringing the boys to all training and blitzes. Good luck to all the 2015s moving up to competitive U13 football and hurling.
Thanks to Tommy and Martin F for the tea and treats and to Ethan Watters for refereeing.

The senior ladies team finished the group stages of their Junior A Championship campaign in style with a great win over Calry St Joseph’s at home on Sunday morning.

Molaise took control early on in the repeat of last year’s division 3 final with some fantastic forward play. The home side led 2-06 to 1-03 at the break.

Calry had the brighter start to the second half with a goal from a penalty, but Molaise responded almost immediately at the other end and pushed on from there. The final scoreline 5-15 to 2-04. A great display by the girls who now have a strong chance of making a semi final pending the completion of the final round of games.

On Saturday, our Molaise U8 girls hosted a Go Games Festival of Football with four visiting teams. We welcomed Glencar Manorhamilton GAA Club, St John's GAA, St Marys Gaa and Coolera Strandhill GAA LGFA Camogie. What a day we all had from start to finish.

Michael Conlon, piper, started the day off by leading the girls in a parade around the pitch. Thank you, Michael. We then moved on to complete four matches, where all the teams showed off their skills and teamwork. It was wonderful to hear the encouragement and positivity coming from the girls themselves. A huge well done to you all, we are very proud of you all.

After the games, we went inside to a fabulous display of refreshments, which were much appreciated by everyone.

A big thank you to our three refs, Aoife Devlin, Daniel Keaney and Joe Keaney.

Thank you to everyone involved in running the event, to the parents for providing the refreshments, and a big thank you to our four visiting teams for attending.

As our season is nearing the end, we would like to thank all the parents, guardians and the girls. We look forward to next season. 🇳🇬

Thank you also to Charlie Brady Photography for his excellent photos

MOLAISE FOR INTEGRATION 💚🤍

We at Naomh Molaise Gaels would like to publicly express our deep disapointment that the process of integration that was democratically agreed upon and committed to has not been upheld

Because women in the GAA are so much more than jersey washers and tea makers.

In our club, women are coaches, players, officers, committee members, fundraisers, organisers, decision-makers, volunteers, mentors and leaders.

They sit at the table.
They shape our decisions.
They challenge the status quo.
They bring ideas, experience and expertise.
They help build our facilities, our teams and our future.

They are not simply supporting the club from the sidelines - they are embedded in the fabric of our GAA community.

As a ONE Club proudly offering LGFA, Camogie, Football and Hurling, we believe women should be valued as equals, with an equal voice and an equal place in the future of our club.
For us, this is about choosing equality over equity.

It is about moving beyond traditional roles and recognising the full contribution of every member of our GAA community.

Women are much more than jersey washers and tea makers.

They are an integral part of who we are.

Molaise for Integration. 💚🤍

Our u16 girls played out three hard games over the last 6 days.

Our B championship team played Owenmore Gaels on Friday, last knowing a win was the minimum requirement to make the cup semi final. Behind early on, the girls played well to lead by 7pts with 15 mins to go. Owenmore Gaels turned the screw after this and took a deserved 3 score win.

Carrying some injuries and disappointment from this game, the girls faced table toppers St Marys
on Monday evening. In an absorbing game the two teams went at it hammer and tongs with the Molaise girls coming out with a 4 pt victory in their best display all year.
Good luck to St Marys in their cup final.

On to Wednesday evening in Cuilbeg, where the girls played St Johns in the summer cup semi final. In an exciting open game of attacking football our girls went in level at half time. St Johns, playing down the hill in the 2nd half, piled on the pressure and came away with a deserved victory. Good luck to St Johns in their Final. It is a fantastic achievement by both clubs to be able to field two teams at the u16 grade in ladies football. We had 30 girls playing for the club across the 3 fixtures.

Thanks to parents, senior players and all who suported the girls across these three games.
Unfortunately, that is the season end for our summer cup team. Our B championship girls will play St Nathys on Monday 14th next at home in the shield semi final. As always, a good home support would be appreciated.
