James Kelsey ๐ฅ Pole Vault, ๐ฅHigh jump CBC Kilkenny
Junior, Senior & Master Leinsters took place over the weekend in SETU in the blistering heat with some fantastic performances from all our athletes over the two days. James Kelsey took on the U20 decathlon, working really hard in all 10 disciplines to set another New Championship Record of 4943 and secure ๐ฅ. James also set new PBโs in 100m, 400m, Long Jump, 110mH and 1500m. A fantastic achievement James ๐๐ป๐๐ป
Rachel Gardiner was also in flying form in the U20 Ladies winning ๐ฅ in Weight for Distance and ๐ฅin the Shot Put.
Jack Gardiner stepped up two ages to compete in the U20 Men Discus ๐ฅ, Shot Put 4th, WFD 4th.
Alex Donnellan continued her winning ways by clinching 3 ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅin the Javelin, Shot Put & Discus. Alex always secured two PBโs along the way too.
Matt Ryan was in excellent form on both days of competition, but an outstanding performance again in the 3000m S/C to see him run another new PB (14:17.68) for first ๐ฅand retain his Leinster Championship Record. Matt also competed in the Long jump๐ฅ, high jump๐ฅ, 100m ๐ฅ, 800m๐ฅ. John Coady ran the masters 5000m on Sunday in the blistering midday heat in a great time of 17:23.21 to clinch ๐ฅ. Marie Deegan took on 3 events on Sunday, winning ๐ฅ in the triple jump, ๐ฅin the discus and ๐ฅ in the Weight for Height.
