Míle buíochas to everyone who came to our 2nd Darkness into Light walk on Saturday morning & took part in the 5k loop starting at Knockainey Community Centre.

This started last year to bring the community together to show support for Mental Health awareness 💛

Knockainey Gaa Club & Knockainey LGFA are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped out in any way & to our sponsors of the food afterwards 👏🏻

It was so lovely to see all ages attending & as a community we have raised over €3000 for this very worthy cause & was a fitting ending to Active week for mental health which saw teams of all ages playing games training and having fun too🌞

Remember always be kind for those struggling it means the world 🌼

Wishing everyone taking part in our 2nd Darkness into Light an enjoyable walk knowing the money raised will go to help people struggling with their mental health 💛

Fresh air & exercise is always a great mental health boost & all our members who are taking part & the wider community will walk a 5k loop starting at Knockainey Community Centre & will remember all those gone too soon 💛

This walk ties in with our active week. Keep moving on the field & off it for our mental health 💛

Our adult junior & intermediate teams did a fun relay race for active week this evening at training 👏🏻

These games are good as it includes everyone no matter how good you are at gaelic football & also leaves the girls in good spirts as they leave the field 🖤🤍

Everyone welcome to our 2nd Darkness into Light walk 💛💛

Donation buckets will be available also on the morning & also this year there will be memory trees where people can write down names of loved ones if they wish. Fr Eddie will be saying Mass that evening at 6.30pm remembering all those who have passed too soon & the trees will be on display in the church. Food after the walk is by Mint Catering which is sponsored by The Hayes Family 💛💛
