Join us on Friday 15th May in the clubhouse for a great night of fun, community and fundraising!

🕢 Doors open: 7:30pm🧠 Quiz starts: 8pm💰 €10 per person🎟️ Raffle on the night

All proceeds will support our Rackets for All programmes, including Special Olympics Badminton, Enjoy Tennis and Squash for All, as well as helping our five amazing athletes — Natasha, Max, Alison, Gagik and Liam — on their journey to the Irish Games this June 💙💛

Raffle tickets will be on sale from tonight at reception, so be sure to grab some! A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated spot prizes and raffle items — your support means so much. Any additional donations or prizes are always greatly appreciated 🙌

To round out our 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 series, it is our honor to introduce Patricia Larkin, a Special Olympics Ireland athlete.

Patricia is a silver medalist in swimming, a badminton athlete, a single mother, and a hard worker. She truly embodies the spirit of inclusion as during the World Games Berlin 2023, Larkin made sure everyone in her swimming group was safe and happy above all else.

GLTC Special Olympic Athletes Shine at Inter Regional Event in Meath

GLTC’s Special Olympic athletes put on a stellar performance at the recent Inter Regional Event held in Meath on March 2nd, showcasing their incredible skill, determination, and sportsmanship. Competing against top athletes from across the country, our team gave it their all, fighting for every point with unwavering focus and enthusiasm. For many of our players, this was their first-ever badminton tournament, making their achievements even more remarkable.

From the very first serve to the final rally, our players demonstrated outstanding technique and a true passion for the game. Their dedication to training was evident in their precise shots, quick footwork, and strategic play. Every match was a testament to their hard work, and their resilience in tough moments proved just how committed they are to their sport.

Beyond their impressive performances on the court, our athletes displayed remarkable sportsmanship, encouraging teammates and competitors alike. Their positivity and respect for the game reflected the true spirit of the Special Olympics, making GLTC proud to be represented by such inspiring individuals.

A huge congratulations to each and every one of our athletes for their fantastic efforts! Your determination and teamwork continue to inspire us all. GLTC is looking forward to even more success as we prepare to host our very own Special Olympics event later this year—giving our athletes the chance to shine on home turf.

📢 Spaces Remaining on our Autism in Sport Online Workshop! 📢
This online workshop will provide attendees with an understanding of Autism focusing on the delivery of sport. It will help participants to recognise and understand key areas of difference as well as looking at practical strategies which will help to include people with autism in sport sessions. This is a 2.5 hr course delivered and certified by Active Disability Ireland.
