The society is open to everyone and you can join by completing the the entry form on our website www.redwoodgolfsociety.com. There is currently no joining fee or annual fee for the society, and members will only ever pay for the events that they sign up to. If you do not currently have a handicap, the society will provide one for you and this will be adjusted each time you play in a society event.
After joining the society, members can be notified about upcoming events by either email, text message or both. In order to ascertain the level of interest in a proposed event, members will be asked to give feedback on their availability. Each Outing will be booked for a specific time and duration based on members feedback and the available tee times will be shown on the "Timesheet" Page of our website. Members are encouraged to review the timesheet and select a tee time they would like. Should the requirements exceed the time allocated the society must know as early as possible in order to attempt to facilitate all wishing to play. Each Outing will be a competition and the winner will be announced in the Results section of the Website, in addition there is also a Golfer of the Year Trophy for the most consistent golfer during the season and a Fourball Matchplay Tournament. It is also planned to have a golfing weekend away in the summer of 2012 depending on the level of interest. Presentation of trophys and prizes will take place after the Captains Prize in September 2012.
