3 years ago today, I watched the first ever Wild & Free order land on my phone. I did a proper happy dance in my kitchen — I still remember exactly where I was standing, in our lovely caravan on the north coast of Ireland where the idea for Wild & Free was formed.
What I didn’t plan was that it would land on my birthday. Every year since, Wild & Free and I have celebrated on the very same day. Still one of my favourite coincidences in life.
So today is my birthday and also Wild & Free’s. I turn 48 today. And I’m not hiding from that number — I’m celebrating it. Every year is a privilege not everyone gets, and I think whatever season of life you’re in, it’s worth asking what makes you feel a little more alive. That question is kind of the whole point of this brand, if I’m honest. And starting this brand at 45, well its been a ride 😅nothing better to make you feel driven and alive.
Wild & Free is 3. Just a baby brand really. But what’s been built in these three years — the Wild Tribe, all of you, showing up in real weather and real life — is something I’m endlessly grateful for. Thank you for supporting us and supporting a small independent brand.
