☘️Your Emerald Swing 2026 tasters☘️

📍Friday 20th Feb, 7-8pm
Laminu with Dianne and Steve

Developed in California sometime around the late 1940s or early 1950s, Laminu is a close hold
partner dance, likely created by dancers who were already dancing Balboa.

It is ideal for dancing to slower tempos, and works well with both slower swing music and doo-wop.

Please welcome Dianne and Steve to Dublin, all the way from Leeds!

In this taster, you will learn:

✅ The basic Laminu step
✅ Some nice variations
✅ How to use these concepts as inspiration when dancing other styles!

Whether you're a slow-tempo lover or just looking to add more texture to your dancing, you won’t want to miss this.

Add some S**g spice to your swing, with Joeri and Rosalyn

Before Collegiate S**g was its own dance, it was a step dancers mixed into their fast swing.

Based on this idea, this class will teach you how to transition from Charleston into iconic Collegiate S**g movements and back again, adding playfulness and variety to your dancing.

Give a warm welcome to our guest teachers from the Netherlands: Joeri and Rosalyn!

No S**g experience required; familiarity with the Charleston basics is helpful.
