Boyne Hockey Club Boyne Hockey Club, based in Drogheda Grammar School is a field hockey club open to all. Welcome to Boyne Hockey Club! We have league teams from 6th class to TY.

Established in 2009 we have a membership in excess of 180 players young and not so young and aim to bring hockey to anyone who wants to play - those who have great sporting talent and those who have none! The objective is to get out on our fabulous floodlit astroturf pitch and have some fun playing hockey as a team. No adult league team as of yet but watch this space!! Directions:

To reach Drogheda Grammar School when travelling on the M1 take the exit at Junction 7, signposted for Julianstown and continue on towards Drogheda on the N1. After you pass through Julianstown continue on and you see the Southgate Shopping Complex in front of you. At the second roundabout take exit equivalent to turning right, driving with the shopping center on your left, and continue on for about a 1/2 mile, taking the next left onto Mill Rd. This will bring you down alongside the Grammar School, and the entrance to the car park for the pitches is about 100 yards before the T-Junction at the end of the Mill Rd. To reach us from Drogheda take the N1 southbound, and when you reach the Southgate Shopping Complex turn left, driving with the shopping center on your left, and continue on for about a 1/2 mile, taking the next left onto Mill Rd.

Looking for a fun and active way to spend the last week of summer? Join us for five days of hockey, games, skill development and plenty of fun! Open to players of all abilities, with experienced coaches creating a positive and enjoyable environment for everyone.

A huge thank you to St Mary’s Parish Primary School for welcoming Boyne Hockey Club as part of their Active Schools Week! 🏑

It was fantastic to introduce hockey to the 4th and 5th class pupils through a series of fun and engaging sessions led by Roisin, with support from past pupils, parents and club coaches.

We hope everyone enjoyed giving hockey a try!

Don’t forget, our Boyne Hockey Club Summer Camp is coming up soon – we’d love to see any pupils who enjoyed the sessions join us for more hockey fun!
