Kildrum Tigers 2 Raphoe Town 1

On a fine evening in Station Road, these two teams put on a very competitive game. Kildrum started brightly with Holly Patton going close with a shot from distance. Kildrum took the lead mid way through the first half when Patton finished well after a through ball from Evie Gallagher.

Raphoe responded soon after following a good finish from a corner.

The second half started even with both teams pushing for the next goal. Kildrum started to press but found Isla Neeson in the Raphoe goal hard to pass, denying Madison Brown first then making a great save to deny Emily Toland's shot from distance. The game was looking like a draw, until Abaigh Bovaird picked the ball up and found the top corner from the edge of the box.

A very entertaining game. Thanks to Raphoe for travelling down and to Patrick Foxy Martin for refereeing.

Kildrum Tigers 0 Raphoe Town 3

Our second home game of the league was played at home today in perfect conditions for football.

Kildrum were slow to get started and conceded 2 goals early in the first half of the game. They kept the pressure on however and had spells of good play.

The Tigers played much better football in the second half with a lot more possession and were unlucky not to score in the 2nd half with Adam Harkin and Harry Moore comong close in front of goal. Kildrum conceded a penalty half way through the second half and they just couldn't find the net in the remaining minutes. Good team effort. Raphoe Town ran out winners. Thanks to ref Foxy Martin for officiating.

U14s Dev got their league off to a winning start at home today with a win against Dromoghill FC.

The game played in miserable conditions at Station Park was high tempo with both teams creating chances throughout the game with some great stops by both keepers. Aine Bovaird and Adam Harkin were unlucky not to find the net in the second half for Kildrum with some great play by both players. Great team effort by everyone on their first outing as a team.

Good luck to Dromoghill for the rest of the league. Thanks to Patrick Martin for referring.

Kildrum Tigers 2 Raphoe Town 2

In a very competitive and entertaining game, these two teams put on a good showing. Both teams created chances early with Àine Bovaird hitting the post and Raphoe rattling the crossbar soon after.

Raphoe took the lead on 20 mins with a good finish. Raphoe were then awarded a penalty the end of the first half, but Jessica Mc Crossan saved well.

Kildrum drew level early in the second half when Molly Toland finished well from just inside the box.
Raphoe regained the lead with 5 mins to go with a well worked goal. Kildrum kept battling and Molly Toland scored again with a free kick from distance.

A draw was a fair result. Thanks to Raphoe Town for a great game and to referee Barry Tourish

Raphoe Town FC 2016 Tournament

Our 2017 Tigers took part in their 2nd tournament of the bank holiday weekend on Monday.

They played four 15 min games, all within the hour in the league phase. 1st up was Convoy Arsenal followed by Ballybofey United, Raphoe Town Rockets and Drumkeen United. The boys gained momentum with each game. They had a well deserved break in preparation for their place in the Plate Final v Castlefinn Celtic.

The boys started off strong and took the lead with an excellent bit of play. They had our amazing fans (AKA parents & family) thoroughly entertained. They continued to work hard, pull off some outstanding saves, great blocks and fine dribbling, however came under some pressure towards the end and conceded an equaliser.

Onto penalties to decide the winner. With 2 great saves from our keeper and excellent taken penalties, the boys held their nerve to win the game & lift their 1st trophy of the year.

Congratulations boys, well deserved. Keep up the great work.

Thanks to Stephen & all at Raphoe Town FC for a very well run tournament.
