Castlebridge Celtic FC Castlebridge Celtic FC was established in 1995. We play in the Murphy's Stout Cork AUL league. Our juvenile boys and girls play as River Celtic FC.

Our home ground is Celtic Park, Castlelyons.

Midweek Magic in Ballyanly! The Bridge Put on a Show.

Murphy's Stout/O'Neills Cork AUL - Strand United 1 - 4 Castlebridge Celtic

Midweek magic on the road! Our boys put on an absolute masterclass against Strand United in Ballyanly tonight, and brought three points back to The Bridge with an emphatic 4-1 victory.

The Bridge started strong and played some slick football from the first whistle. The breakthrough came on 16 minutes when Andrew Nolan picked out Jordan Gordon-Harvey with a crisp assist, and Gordon-Harvey made no mistake — 1-0.

It was 2-0 shortly after when a Dave Twomey free-kick caused havoc in the box. Nolan was first to pounce on the spill and stuck it away.

Nolan was at it again moments later, turning provider this time to set up Gordon-Harvey for his second of the night and make it 3-0. The Bridge in total control.

Strand United pulled one back to make it 3-1 and threatened to make a game of it, but this Castlebridge side has serious depth. Impact substitutions turned the tide right back in our favour and late on Jack Lewis picked out Conor Twomey who rounded off a dominant night — 4-1.

With new additions shining and the whole squad firing, energy is high as we go again this Saturday, where we face Mallow Town in Carrig Park, Fermoy at 2pm.

Perfect Start in Dungourney — The Bridge Hit the Road and Bring Home Three Points

St. John Boscos FC 1 - 2 Castlebridge Celtic FC

Castlebridge Celtic got their league campaign off to the perfect start today away in Dungourney against a young, hungry St. John Boscos side.

There were a few new faces in Bridge colours this season and they slotted right in, complimenting the existing squad brilliantly and showing exactly what they're about from the first whistle.

Under the watchful eye of referee Anthony Thompson, this was a great watch from the get-go. End to end, with some great link-up play from both sides, and two teams who were clearly up for it.

The first break came for the hosts. On 11 minutes, Boscos were awarded a free kick within shooting range and made it count — 1-0 to the home side. It only upped the intensity. Both teams pushed, both teams created, but Boscos held firm.

Just when it looked like they'd take the lead into the break, the Bridge got their reward. Dion McCormack was brought down in the box, winning a penalty. Up stepped Kieran Barrett — calm as you like — and slotted it home right on the half-time whistle. Level, and game on.

The second half started with the same fierceness. This time it was the Bridge who took control, playing some flowing football and creating chance after chance. It started to feel like the points might be shared.

Until 6 minutes from the end.

Gracjan Platek whipped in a superb cross to Jordan Gordon-Harvey, who seized his moment. He slipped past two defenders and the keeper and buried it from a near-impossible angle. A proper striker's finish.

From there, the Bridge retained possession, dominated the closing minutes, and saw the game out with composure.

A gritty away win, a great team performance, and three massive points on the board.

A great start to the season. Onwards!
