FSKA Bantry,Glengarriff & Kenmare Karate Clubs are based on Funokoshi Shotokan style of karate which was begun by Japanese Master Gichin Funokoshi, the founder of modern day karate. The club aims to promote health,confidence and self protection through karate techniques, fitness and self-discipline in a fun and friendly atmosphere. The club also partakes in local tournaments and travels abroad fo
r tournaments and seminars. We have travelled to London,Poland, Venice and hope to travel to the World Championships in Portugal in 2014. Tournaments are a way of testing your karate skills as well as increasing confidence. The clubs cater for younger members 5-12 years of age with our 'Little Ninga's club'. Karate is taught through games and goals in a safe and friendly way with Sempies Lynda, Sue and Lydia 6-7pm Friday (Bantry) and Wednesday (Glengarriff) Monday(Kenmare). Main class straight after 7-8.30 with Sensei Les Bantry and Glengarriff, Kenamre with Sempi Lynda.
