She began teaching piano in 2010 and has since started up her own business. She has since, received a degree in abusiness and a Teaching diploma from the London College of Music,
She has also won the 'Sales Institute of Ireland' award based on the business. she has proven herself a success with over 50 piano students, singing students, Junior Certificate Music students and a choir of 40 children.
In addition, she regularly prepares students for concerts and examinations. Heather began performing from the early age of 5. She has a background of ballet, tap and Speech and Drama. Heather is a regular performer and was operatically trained in a childrens choir by Cork Soprano Sonja Keogh. As a member of the choir, Heather has travelled to Japan and Liverpool and also performed In Cork city of culture festival 2005, on RTE’s ‘Carols from Cork’, and TG4. The choir also succeeded in starring in their own opera ‘Orpheus’ and featured in ‘Hansel and Gretel’. Heather has also had solo performances on RTE’s ‘Sattitude’ and was in the final of ‘Corks got Talent’ 2010. Heathers passion is teaching and music and she instils a love of same in her students. Séan is a young, talented music student from Knockraha. He became a student of Heathers in 2010 and, through his own efforts and successes, has become a teacher in training under Heathers supervision. Séan plans on sitting his Grade 8 exam this year, which he requires to become a fully qualified Piano teacher.
