Rathgormack Clonea Comeragh Amenity Area

Rathgormack Clonea Comeragh Amenity Area An All Weather Community pitch that will cater for a number of sports in both parishes of Rathgormack

In 2013, a group of locals organised a meeting and identified the need for an All Weather Pitch. We approached Waterford Leader Partnership and with the funding received as well as long years of fundraising, we finally achieved our dream here in July 2019 and opened our state of the art All Weather Pitch and Amenity Area! We are continuously fundraising so if you would like to get involved, check

out the posts below, follow our Instagram and check out our website https://rathgormack.ie

Contact Tony Bolger at 087-2271520 or Johnny Brunnock at 086-8483210 for full details.

Eoin Dowley is running the Viking Half Marathon on 21st June to raise funds for Alzheimer's awareness. After seeing both of his grandparents battle dementia and Alzheimer's, he's seen firsthand the impact it has not only on the person, but on the families around them too.
He decided to use the 21km as a way to give something back and support families currently going through the same thing. With over 141,000 people in Ireland expected to be living with dementia by 2050, support services are needed now more than ever.
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland provides incredible support through home care services, support groups and a national helpline for families navigating this every day. If you can spare a few euro, it would mean a lot. You can donate via the link below - every donation, big or small, genuinely helps!

Due to the recent passing of Mary Flynn, RIP, we have postponed our celebration for Fr. PJ until Friday, May 1st.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Flynn family at this difficult time.

The Comeraghs Wild Committee are heartbroken by the sad news that our fellow committee member and good friend Mary Flynn has passed away. Mary was absolutely dedicated to the Comeraghs Wild Festival from its very inception back in 2013 and since then she has hardly missed a single committee meeting. She was ever present at almost every event over the course of the festival weekend each year. She had a deep love for the Comeraghs and its people. Mary will be greatly missed by all involved with the festival for her steady, guiding hand but more so she will be missed as a caring and kind friend to all who knew her. The committee and all involved with Comeraghs Wild would like to extend our deepest, heartfelt sympathy to Ger and family on their sad loss at this time. We thank Mary for her work on the festival and in the wider community over the years. Ar dheis DΓ© go raibh a hanam
