We are based in the Dolmen Centre Omeath, and provide a variety of

Omeath District Development Company is a social economy enterprise limited by guarantee, with a charitable status providing social, economic, employment, recreational and tourism services within a CLÁR designated area. Omeath District Development Company was formed in 1986 as a registered company and charity. The company is now recognised as a primary social/economic driver and facilitator for employment, as in addition to the employment of three full time employees under the POBAL funded Social Economy Programme with a remit for tourism the company also provides part time employment for five TÚS workers, eight FÁS community employment workers and a Louth Leader Rural Social Scheme employee delivering administration support, tourism and environmental services within the community. Since 1993 Omeath District Development has generated training and employment opportunities for in excess of 300 local residents under funded and community employment schemes and programmes. Within the Dolmen Centre the community services provision include a function hall, fully serviced kitchen and catering facilities, meeting rooms, intervention support facility, outreach clinics for state and statutory agencies and polling station. Company Registration Number 205262

We are delighted that the Barre / Yoga Fusion Class for Mum and baby ( before crawling age) class has been rescheduled to commence on Tuesday 15th September for 4 weeks from 10am to 11am as part of our programme with the support of the . This class offers mums benefits like core and pelvic floor strengthening, improved posture, etc., and will be a supportive "Mum and Baby" class that will also foster social connection and offer bonding time with baby through gentle movement and play. This class will give mums the opportunity to meet other mums.

Would you like to take part in a pottery workshop using various ceramic hand building techniques to create your own bowl from clay!!!!!!
As part of our programme with the support of the we can offer this wonderful workshop at a highly discounted price.

Who we are looking for is someone that can commit to 3 sessions as these 3 sessions are vital to complete your finshed piece.

Dates of Group 1 and Group 2 are as follows:

Group 1: 10th October, 17th October and 7th November.
Group 2: 24th October, 31st October and 14th November.

Price for the 3 sessions is €50 ( €20 deposit required to book your spot)

With thanks to LMETB for the successful application of the Reach Fund 2026 where we were able to deliver the first session of the Ikigai Course on Saturday at a reduced price here in the Dolmen Centre Omeath. This Ikigai course over the 4 weeks is aimed at older adults in the community and will help participants discover what makes life worth living through reflection, movement and mindful ritual.
