Results Portnablagh Crab Crawl 17th June 26 2/10 2 lap in harbour swim due due to a fresh NW breeze. Fastest was Monze Rouwe on holiday from Hamburg in Germany. 19.00mins Closest to their predicted times Michelle Murray 24.00mins -1m. Brian Gormley 25.40mins +1.40. Sharon Speer 25.50mins -2.10mins. We had a 300mts, 500mts and a 1K swim this evening. Thanks to Matthew and team for kayak support and to Kathy from Revive in dunfanaghy for the coffee vouchers. Same again next Wednesday.

Portnablagh Crab Crawl swim series 2026. Starts Wednesday 10th June. It's a 1K Predict Your Time fun swim. ( 500MTS option this year again) Registration from 6.30pm at the slipway, swim starts at 7pm sharp. 20euro to enter ( 10euro for the 500mts) Families groups 20euro as well. All proceeds raised going to the RNLI Lifeboats Donegal and Sheephaven Subaqua Search and recovery unit. Coffee vouchers from Revive Dunfanaghy for the three closest Predicted times plus the fastest swimmer. Tow floats are compulsory and a disclaimer waiver must be signed. EVERYONE swims entirely at their own risk. Open to wetsuits or skins swimmers, your choice. Anyone interested in kayak support for the swimmers is always welcome as would anyone with a small Rib or a jetski. 1/10. Aiming for a straight out and back course, weather conditions permitting.

Metalman Swim Series in Rosses Point, entry opens soon! It will fill up within 24 hrs so move quickly if you want to enter. Always a great event. 1k, 2k and 3k distances.

Gartan swimmers. 11years swimming since Karen, Mark and myself got together to swim 10K down Lough Gill in August 2014 and along with Paddy and Mark McC we organised the Gartan swim challenge at Gartan Lough the following year plus all the other swims in the years since. We have a lovely umbrella group who help us every year organising the various events. Fundraising for local community is at the heart of most of our swims and this year has been busy when you count it all up. 14,302 euro from the various events for Cancer care west, Donegal Hospice, RNLI lifeboats, Cara house, Donegal Red Cross and the Sheephaven search and recovery unit. Hopefully more to come in 2026.
