While Edenderry’s Leinster Intermediate Championship journey came to an end yesterday with defeat to Boardsmill, there is so much to be proud of after what has been a marvellous year for the club.

Congratulations to everyone involved on a fantastic season, securing promotion back to Senior at the first attempt and capturing the Division 1 League title.

Two outstanding achievements that are testament to the hard work, commitment and dedication of the players, management and everyone behind the scenes.

Yesterday’s result may have brought the championship campaign to a close, but it cannot take away from what has been a hugely successful year.

🏆 Belmac/Belmont Laser Minor B Final 🏆

St. Rynagh's Ladies Football came out on top against Shamrocks Ladies Football Club in a thrilling Minor B Final, overcoming a fantastic challenge in an enthralling contest from start to finish!

Despite the weather trying its best to dampen spirits, it was certainly no match for the determination and enthusiasm on show!

Huge credit to both teams for serving up a brilliant game of football full of passion, determination & skill.

Final score: St. Rynagh’s 2-15 Shamrocks 1-10

The 1st of our Belmac/Belmont Laser Minor A semi finals took place in this morning in Bretland Park with Naomh Ciaran emerging victorious over neighbours St. Manchan's Ladies Football.

A big thank you to Martin Heavin of GHS Construction who sponsored the match ball for this morning’s game.

Naomh Ciaran await the winners of next weeks semifinal which sees Tullamore Lgfc & Edenderry GAA vying for a spot in the final.

Our Bretland intermediate champions Edenderry are on the road again this Saturday as they continue their quest for Leinster glory.

They travel to Trim to face Meath champions Boardsmill at 2pm & we wish the Edenderry girls & their management team the very best of luck.

AIB Leinster Quarter-Final Match Report

Unfortunately, Ballinamere/Durrow bowed out of the AIB Leinster Championship today after coming up against a very well-drilled Longford Slashers side.

It was a particularly memorable but demanding weekend for the club, with a number of players having lined out in yesterday’s county final camogie fixture, where Ballinamere/Durrow emerged victorious. Winning silverware at county level is a fantastic achievement and a source of great pride for everyone involved. The commitment shown by these players in representing the club across both codes is hugely commendable, although the demands of such a busy weekend were understandably felt at times today.

Credit to Longford Slashers, who were well organised and made life difficult for Ballinamere/Durrow throughout the contest.

However, today's result must be viewed in context. It was only three seasons ago that Ballinamere/Durrow contested their first-ever senior county final. The progress made by this young club in such a short space of time has been remarkable and is a real testament to the commitment, hard work and ambition of the players, management and everyone involved behind the scenes.

While today's defeat is disappointing, it should not overshadow the strides made by the club in recent seasons. Reaching this stage of the Leinster Championship is another valuable experience for a group that continues to develop, grow and establish itself at senior level.

Commiserations to all the players and management team, and sincere thanks to everyone who travelled and supported the team throughout the campaign.

Three seasons on from that first senior county final, Ballinamere/Durrow are continuing to make their mark. Yesterday's camogie county final victory is further evidence of the talent, determination and winning spirit within this club. Today's result is a setback, but it cannot diminish the progress made or the exciting potential that lies ahead. This is a young club building something special, and with continued hard work, belief and togetherness, there is every reason to be optimistic about what the future holds. The journey continues, and Ballinamere/Durrow have plenty more chapters left to write.
