Yesterday, before both of our U16 games, a minute’s silence was observed in loving memory of Pádraig Smith, following his untimely passing.
The tribute took place ahead of the U16 B Shield Final, between St. Manchan's Ladies Football and Kilcormac Killoughey Gaa, and the U16 A Shield Semi-Final, contested by Clara Ladies Gaelic Football Club CLGFC & St Broughans LGFC
Pádraig was the much-loved husband of Fiona Buggy, whose family, through K Buggy Coaches, proudly sponsor our championship. At such a difficult and heartbreaking time, we wanted to remember Pádraig and show our support and solidarity to Fiona and both the Buggy and Smith families.
Our thoughts are very much with Fiona, their families, friends and all those who knew and loved Pádraig.
From everyone involved in the championship, we extend our deepest sympathies and keep you all in our thoughts.
