We at Carlow Dragon Boat Club are very proud of our club members Mary, Susan, Alison, Margaret and Valerie who will represent Ireland in a few weeks time. Asking all our followers to show your support and follow their journey through the Irish International Women’s Dragon Boat Team facebook and instagram pages.

There is something special about seeing a team finally stand together in their Ireland kit. In four weeks time this team will take to the European stage to represent their country with pride. Join us in wishing them all the best of luck.

What a weekend we had at the Ireland-China Dragon Boat Festival 2026 (formerly known as the Barrow Regatta) with three teams from Carlow competing across three categories. Our Carlow Dragons (womens team) achieved 2nd place, Carlow Crusaders (open team) achieved 3rd place and Carlow Juniors (U18s) achieved 2nd place across their categories. We wish to send a huge thank you to all the dragon boat club members present for supporting our club fundraiser. 🙏🏻

On Thurs 32 of our club members headed out to Venice to take part in the Vogalonga which is a 35km paddle around the canals and waterways of Venice. We are very proud of all our members taking on this huge challenge. Well done everyone 👏🏼

Our juniors jumping for joy as they prepared for yesterday's training session in the glorious sunshine 🌞 They are training hard for the Barrow (Carlow) Regatta which takes place on Sunday 7th June in Carlow Town Park. Athy Regatta 2026 - What a day for Carlow Dragon Boat Club 🚣‍♀️

🥈 Carlow Juniors — Incredible performance bringing home SILVER! Hard work paying off and the future is bright.

🥇 Carlow Dragons — GOLD again! Strong, fierce, and consistent. These women continue to dominate and inspire 👑

💥 Carlow Crusaders — 4th place in the open category, taking on top crews and giving them serious competition. Grit and determination all the way!

Proud of all our crews representing Carlow with such passion and strength. Huge thanks to the Irish Dragon Boat Association for organizing a brilliant event, already looking forward to Carlow Regatta 💪🏻
