Bundoran Golf Club Bundoran Golf Club, founded in 1894, is one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland. It was established in 1894 by course architect G.L Bailie.

With our clifftop links across a rugged headland, with panoramic views of the Atlantic and a backdrop of the magnificent Dartry Mountains, presents a challenge to all golfers Bundoran Golf Club is an 18 hole Golf Course situated on the stunning NorthWest Atlantic Coastline. In 1927 Harry Vardon made deisgn changes to the course. The most recent changes to the design of the course came in 2006 when

designs of bunkers and greens were changed. Christy O'Connor Snr was Professional here at Bundoran from 1951 until 1957. The current Head professional is David Robinson who has been the Professional at Bundoran Golf Club for over 30 years now.

Historic Day for Bundoran Ladies in the Senior Cup 🏌️‍♀️

On Saturday afternoon, the Bundoran Ladies made an historic trip to Slieve Russell Golf Club to compete in the Senior Cup against Lurgan Golf Club.

This was a significant milestone for the club, as it marked the first time in 60 years that Bundoran had fielded a team in the Senior Cup. Bundoran was also proud to be the only club in Donegal represented in this year’s competition.

Despite difficult weather conditions throughout the day, the team embraced the challenge. While the result did not go our way we lost 3 to 2 against a strong Lurgan side, every player gave their all and can be immensely proud of their efforts

A sincere thank you to all the players and team manager Donna Mulholland and Lady Captain Linda for her support While the Senior Cup journey may have ended for this year, the team has laid a strong foundation for the future.

With a great number of young golfers signed up, lessons are taking place across two sessions and the enthusiasm is brilliant to see.

Keeping Bundoran Golf Club in top condition ⛳️

Adam enjoyed taking the new Tees Mower for its first run around the course. This new unit was purchased with the assistance of a €40,000 grant from the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport. Their support is greatly appreciated as we continue to invest in the upkeep and presentation of our course for all members and visitors to enjoy.

A wonderful day at Bundoran Golf Club with over 240 players taking part and a fantastic evening celebrating David’s incredible 44 years of dedication and service to the club ⛳️

Members and friends gathered to share stories, memories and appreciation for everything David has done for Bundoran Golf Club over the years. A fitting tribute also saw the 7th Hole officially renamed “Robinson’s Road”.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a special occasion, David everyone from the club wishes you a very happy retirement and we look forward to seeing you back on the greens soon.

Bundoran Golf Club Ladies Return to Senior Cup Competition

There is a tremendous sense of pride and excitement in Bundoran Golf Club as the ladies’ team prepares to compete in the Senior Cup competition for the first time in more than 60 years.

This marks a historic moment for the club, with the return of a ladies’ team to one of the most prestigious inter-club competitions in Irish golf. Adding even greater significance to the occasion is the support of Margaret Keon, who proudly represented the club during the 1960s and is delighted to see Bundoran once again entering the Senior Cup ranks.

The club is especially proud to be the only team in County Donegal competing in this year’s competition, making this achievement a landmark occasion not only for Bundoran Golf Club but for ladies’ golf across the county.

The team will face Lurgan Golf Club in Slieve Russell Golf Club on 30th of May. All matches will be played off scratch, ensuring a highly competitive and challenging contest.
