Myself and Haydn went to Garadice today to fish an American pairs match run by IASCaire Feeder Fishing Club. The day didn’t go our way but just wanted to congratulate all involved on a very well run competition. Something a bit different great craic well done to all involved.

The countdown is on to the inaugural 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿, and we're looking forward to welcoming young anglers from across the island to what promises to be a fantastic weekend at Lough Muckno on 𝟮𝟵𝘁𝗵 & 𝟯𝟬𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁.

This new two-day event is about much more than the results. It's an opportunity for young anglers of all abilities to experience the excitement of competition, fish alongside others who share their passion, and enjoy the unique social side of match fishing. Whether you're new to competition or already have experience, everyone is welcome.

Fishing any method, the event is open to Under 15 and Under 20 anglers, with DAIWA tackle prizes, Sensas groundbait, and bespoke trophies up for grabs.

If you've been thinking about giving competition fishing a go, this is the perfect opportunity.

After receiving a call from a local land owner and residents we headed to Tomkin rd lake. Some young people had been camping and had left a mess. After a local resident approached them and told them it was unacceptable they did make some attempt to clean up. When we arrived this there was rubbish in the hedges but lt was unclear if this had been from the young group or not as this is a very popular spot with tent anglers. There was also lots of deification with toilet roll around the path. How do people not understand that this is not acceptable. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but foot prints. Again a big thank you to Maria Morgan from Cavan County Council and Belturbet Tidy Towns Committee for organising ppe and equipment to allow us to do are bit to keep are local waters clean so everyone can enjoy them

Had an open on the lovely Lough Gowna today. Perfect weather conditions over cast and breezy. 9 fished two sections.

Sunday 7th 13 brave souls faced the weather for the Phil of the Cosy memorial match run by club member Andy Wall. Very well run match on a local venue. Bonus fish were the key to the match with Lee Smith coming out on top.
