Sea has finally calmed down. But not all is calm .
Got a lecture today from a lady from the uk who lives “ the other side of Bantry, but has friends in Ahakista “ who was diligently collecting all the plastic debris washed up from the month of storms and gales. She felt we needed to get our act together in Gortnakilla and that it’s a disgrace and she’s been coming here for at least 7 years , (an age 🤣). She kindly cleaned the entire area with her junior helpers and then deposited the rubbish bags on someone’s property which she thinks is public. I was triggered but said nothing. I felt like I was witnessing some uk grammar school outing in sidcombe on bascomewater in the Home Counties where the headmistress takes no prisoners. Thank you for cleaning and clearing our public amenity, but maybe loose the assumed superiority attitude whilst I work on my Irish inferiority complex. I respectfully suggest you obtain some local knowledge and while you’re at it slow down in that car of yours, you’ll hurt someone.
