This day last week we ran our annual badminton tournament and it was a great success thanks to all the people involved running it, our sponsors

𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐖𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐍 – 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔

Badminton Ireland is delighted to launch our popular ‘Just For Women’ coaching course once again for 2026. Over the past two years, 24 women have qualified as confident BWF Level One coaches through this programme. After successful deliveries in Leinster and Connacht, we are excited to bring the course to Munster this year.

For 2026, we are introducing a new feature: a dedicated 'Coaching Teenage Girls' online workshop. Supporting teenage girls to stay involved in badminton continues to be a key focus for us, and this workshop is an invaluable addition to any coach’s CV.

𝑪𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔
Participants will complete:
Shuttle Time course (for those who have not already completed one)
or
A coaching workshop for more experienced coaches
Level 1 Coaching Qualification
Part 1: Online
Part 2: In-person practical weekend in Cork
‘Coaching Teenage Girls’ online workshop

Each participant will also be assigned a mentor who will provide support and guidance throughout the course.

𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲?
This course is open to all women aged 18+.

As the practical weekend takes place in Carrigaline Badminton Club (Cork) on Saturday and Sunday, accommodation for the Saturday night can be provided by Badminton Ireland if required.

Cost & Places
Course Fee: €100
Refund: €50 returned on course completion
Places: Strictly limited to 12 women
We are delighted to welcome back expert tutor Michelle Hayes, who will once again help deliver the programme.
