Before kick-off, the squad proudly lined out in their brand new jerseys, kindly sponsored by Dragon BJJ Academy.

On a wet and blustery morning, Ballincollig U14s produced a superb display to run out convincing 5-0 winners over Avondale.

The scoreline could have been even more emphatic in the opening exchanges as Ballincollig sliced through the Avondale defence time and again. On four occasions in the opening 25 minutes, the home side looked certain to score, only for the Avondale goalkeeper to keep his side in the game with a string of outstanding saves.

Against the run of play, Avondale threatened on the break, but Ballincollig goalkeeper Kacper Wisniewski was equal to the danger, producing an excellent save to preserve the deadlock.

The breakthrough finally arrived when Dylan Murphy found the net after sustained pressure, and Zack Kelly-Obi doubled the advantage before the interval with a composed finish to send Ballincollig into the break firmly in control.

Ballincollig raised the tempo again after half-time and took a stranglehold on the contest. James Hamilton added a deserved third before substitute Kacper Sobiech got on the scoresheet with a superb strike from the edge of the box.

With Ballincollig continuing to dominate possession and territory, Dylan Murphy grabbed his second of the morning

This Ballincollig U12 squad had their first competitive match at home to Carrigaline on Saturday morning, which turned out to be a very entertaining game.

Ballincollig started strongly, playing some very good football and controlling the first 20 minutes. Carrigaline went ahead with a breakaway goal, but Abhi equalised soon after with a cracking strike from the right-hand side.

Early in the second half, Carrigaline went 3–1 up with a couple of quick fire goals, but Ballincollig dug deep again to equalise through the ever hard‑working Ben Acton and Abhi.

Ballincollig kept the pressure on, but a goal against the run of play put Carrigaline 4–3 up with 10 minutes left. In fairness to Ballincollig, their heads never dropped, and a deserved equaliser came from captain for the day, Yartharth.

Ballincollig pressed hard for the winner but had to settle for the draw in the end.

A great performance and contributions from all members of the squad.

What a comeback from the Ballincollig U12 Division 1 team this morning as they came from two goals down to secure a fantastic away victory against a very well-organised Springfield side in Cobh!

Springfield took a 2-0 lead into half-time, but Ballincollig showed tremendous character and determination to turn the game around in a brilliant second-half performance.

Mughil Sundaram got the comeback underway with a spectacular long-range strike into the top corner, a goal of real quality!

Liam Quinn Durban then produced two outstanding free kicks to complete the turnaround and send Ballincollig home with a well-deserved victory.

There were also excellent individual performances throughout the team, with Sean Bermingham and Eric O’Sullivan particularly impressive on the day.

A brilliant display of resilience, teamwork and belief from the boys. Coming from 2-0 down away from home is something to be very proud of! Well done to all the lads! 🇳🇬

What a fantastic start to the season on a damp afternoon in the Landing Field.
Ballincollig were on the front foot from the very start and this pressure was rewarded with an early goal after only 6 minutes by Alex C. With Ballincollig applying all the pressure and against the run of play, Springfield Ramblers were awarded a penalty in the 19th minute. Despite a strong hand by Senan, Springfield scored to make it 1-1.
Ballincollig continued to apply pressure and had several shots on goal and half chances. The lads scored 3 goals in quick succession before half time with great finishes from Christo (35), Milo (38) & a second from Alex C (40) just before half time. Ballincollig were leading 4-1 at the break.

The game was a bit more even in the 2nd half with chances at both ends. Alex C took advantage of some great pressure by Ballincollig to get his hat trick on 58 minutes.

The entire match squad of 15 showed a fantastic work ethic throughout and their discipline and attitude were great to watch. We couldn't have asked for a better start to the season.

A very strong performance from Ballincollig away to a tough Avondale team today ended in a 2-2 draw.

Ballincollig started well, and went 1-0 up with an excellent team goal finished off by Conor Mac Carron, set up superbly by Culann Murphy. Avondale equalised from a corner, and went ahead late in the half with a breakaway goal.

Early in the second half, Conall Ó Cróinín scored a great individual goal to make it 2-2, and Ballincollig pushed hard for a winner, but had to be satisfied with a draw. Consul Ó Cróinín and his midfield partner, Jack Garry, were the outstanding performers, but a great showing from all players 👏🇳🇬🇳🇬

A superb second-half performance saw Ballincollig celebrate their first home fixture of the season in style, securing an impressive 3-0 victory over Carrigtwohill United at the Regional park.

With both sides newly promoted from Division Two, there was plenty at stake, and Ballincollig set the tempo from the opening minute. Aaron O’Donovan, Ross and Alex all threatened early as the home side piled on the pressure. Carrigtwohill provided a warning of their own, however going wide from a rare corner that drifted just wide.

Ballincollig continued to push for the breakthrough and almost found it on the stroke of half-time, only for a last-ditch tackle to deny Jan and send the teams into the break goalless.

Ballincollig flew out of the blocks , and only two minutes after the restart Alex broke the deadlock with a great long range effort.

Five minutes later, it was 2-0. Josh Finn producing some dazzling footwork to outfox the goalkeeper to slot the ball home.

The wood work denied Ballincollig extending their lead until in the last minute Aaron O Connell stepped up and fired home directly from a free kick, putting the seal on an excellent 3-0 victory. 👏 🇳🇬

Ballincollig U17s welcomed Carrigaline United B to the Landing Field today for their first game in the Cork Youth League.

A great game of football by both teams with Carrigaline United B taking the lead in the first half against the run of play despite Ballincollig's numerous attempts on goal.

The Second half started and Ballincollig stepped up a gear with Karol Gawlik finding the back of the net with a great assist from cillian Daly. 5 minutes later Ballincollig were awarded a free kick from 30 yards out floated in by Devin O Riordan to find the feet of our Captain Filip Karkus and scoring the winner.

Outstanding performance from all 16 who individually were all fantastic and even better as a team.And as always incredible support from the sidelines 👏

What a way to start the league campaign!
Ballincollig U19s got their CYL Division 1A campaign off to a fantastic start with an emphatic 8–1 victory over Avondale.

It was a superb all-round team performance, with every player contributing and showing great energy, teamwork and determination throughout the game.

The standout performer was undoubtedly Jack O’Sullivan, who enjoyed a sensational afternoon in front of goal, finding the net four times. His fourth was the highlight of the afternoon, a superbly executed chip from just inside the box that sailed over the goalkeeper and into the net.

Avondale did manage to find the net, but Ballincollig remained composed and continued to play their football, adding further goals as the second half progressed.

There were also strong performances throughout the team. Donnacha Noonan was impressive in goal, making a couple of excellent saves at important moments to ensure Ballincollig maintained their advantage.

An excellent start to the league campaign, with plenty of positives to take from a performance built on teamwork, attacking football and a strong work ethic from the entire squad.

A huge well done to all the players and management team. 👏💚
