🌼 St. Cuans Utd — March 2026 Newsletter 🌼
📌 Grant & Funding Update
From September 2024 to August 2025, the cost of running our club was just over €25,000. These essential expenses were covered by a number of fundraising efforts throughout the year.
We are now in the process of enhancing our club facilities with:
• A new lawnmower
• Storage shed
• 2 adult goals
• 2 juvenile goals
• 2 dugouts
These items are funded entirely through the Sports Fund Grant, but there’s a challenge:
➡️ We cannot draw down the grant until all items are paid for upfront.
➡️ The club does not currently have the funds to purchase them outright.
To bridge this gap, we are pursuing financial support from Clann Credo, who provide community loans to sports clubs nationwide. Once approved, we will purchase the required equipment, draw down the grant, and fully repay the loan.
🔹 It’s important to note:
Not a single cent of the grant will go toward day-to-day club running costs.
In fact, with new facilities come new ongoing expenses—insurance, security cameras, alarms, and more. That’s why local support for all fundraising efforts is absolutely vital to keep our club thriving.

🎟️ Future of Our 50/50 Draw
Our 50/50 Draw continues to be a lifeline for the day to day running of St. Cuans Utd. Without the support of this monthly draw, the club simply cannot operate at its current level.
As part of this year’s registration process, we will be asking all parents and members to subscribe online to participate in the monthly draw.
Your contribution here directly supports coaching, equipment, facilities, utilities, and the many unseen costs of keeping the club active and accessible to all.
