Carrickallen National Heritage Week – Local Walk & Talk

As part of National Heritage Week 2026, join us for a Local Walk & Talk around Carrickallen on Sunday 23rd August.

Leaving Carrickallen Hall at 6pm (H16 EV96)

Come along and discover a little more about the history and heritage of our local area, with tea and refreshments afterwards.

A lovely opportunity to get out for an evening walk, hear some local stories and learn more about the place we call home.Everyone welcome – we hope to see you there!

A great turnout for the Bailieborough Walking Group at Farnham Estate last night !

​We took on a 5.8km hike through the estate , some history —from the days when the Lord Farnham estate was leased out to local Irish tenant farmers, right up to today’s luxury hotel grounds.

​Great banter along the way !

​We finished off with the well-earned tea and scones !! Thank you !
