We need you help to raise money for our Dragon Boat Team to get caps with initials on them for all our juniors.

If you could donate you Return bottles and cans we will use the refund towards this important piece of uniform.

All donations can be brought to our practice sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5.45pm or left into the Athy Sports Hub.

Another fun filled evening on our beautiful river Barrow.

Next week we have confirmed training sessions in Tuesday and Thursday at 5.45pm. We always welcome new members between the ages of 8 and 17. We offer 4 free taster sessions for anyone interested. All equipment and training provided. Please contact Lynn Daly Whelan to book in for your taster sessions.

Goof afternoon all - unfortunately do to a very high and fast flowing river, with more rain on the way, this evenings training has been cancelled. Hopefully see you all next week. 😁🐉🐲

Well it's weather for the ducks, but unfortunately not for the Dragons. Training was cancelled yesterday due to unfavourable river conditions and as it stands at the moment the river is too high and the current is still too fast.

Levi Maher Njadayi will check the conditions again tomorrow afternoon and make an announcement in the group WhatsApp to let members know whether or not tomorrow's training session will go ahead.

In the meanwhile, keep yourselves warm and dry and think of sunnier times 😉🐲🐉

Well, after a long Winter, The Barrow Dragons were back out on the water yesterday. Fantastic to see two full boats from the first session back. Was great to welcome back all the familiar faces and a few new ones too. See you all again tomorrow for another glorious evening on the water.

Hi All,

So it has been a long winter but the time has finally come to get back out on the water!!!!

The season recommences on Tuesday 1st of April at 5.45pm for all existing members only.

We always welcome new members and offer 4 free taster sessions before they decide to join. For anyone interested in trying out the Dragonboat they must contact Lynn on 0878478470 the day before arriving. This enables us to have enough helms and boats ready. The prospective members designated ADULT must be present at these taster sessions.

The clubs AGM is Friday the 28th of March 7.30pm in our hub for anyone who would like to come along.

Our first Regatta of the season is the Athy Regatta Sunday the 4th of May.

Keep your eye on our team WhatsApp group for updates from Lynn regarding training.

We can't wait to see all our little dragons back out on the water!!!

What a lovely morning we had for our 🎅Santa Paddle 🎅today. Well done to all the juniors and seniors who turned out in their festive gear to have a little paddle and some carol singing on the River. The juniors even had a very special visit from the main man himself who informed them all that they have been very good boys and girls and are all on the nice list.

Thanks so much to all the parents who helped out today and all through the season, Santa said you can have a Baileys on him.
