Huge Congratulations to our own Anna McGough and the Galway United F.C. Senior Women who secured a place in the All-Island Cup Semi-Final yesterday beating Linfield 3-2 in the Quarter Final 💪.

A special mention and word of Thanks to Anna as she scored her first Senior goal in the match yesterday and came straight from the game to Corrandulla to present our Junior Awards for the season 🙏.

Thanks so much Anna, we really appreciate it and you are a true inspiration to all these young Corrib Celtic Boys and Girls 🖤.

The Annual General Meeting of Corrib Celtic Football Club will be held in the Clubhouse on Thursday 25th June 2025 at 9 pm.

Congratulations to Alice McLucas and Amy Dooley, who were part of the Galway U12 team that secured victory over Sligo/Leitrim in their final on 24th May.

Well done also to Mia O'Neill and Ciara Walsh, who represented the Galway U13 team in their impressive final victory over Limerick Desmond.

We would also like to recognise Cora, Elly and Maia, who performed brilliantly throughout the competition and finished as runners-up with their Galway team.

A special mention must also go to the Galway U12 Boys team, who were crowned champions after winning their final.

Everyone at Corrib Celtic is incredibly proud of all our players for their dedication, hard work and achievements while representing Galway. They continue to be outstanding ambassadors for our club. 💚⚽

A huge congratulations to our own Belle Foley on helping her team reach the Gaynor Cup Final in UL today following a series of outstanding performances throughout the week.

Everyone at Corrib Celtic is immensely proud of Belle and all that she has achieved. We would also like to acknowledge Kevin O'Neill, who is part of the coaching team with this talented U14 squad.

It is a massive day for football in Galway, and we wish Belle, Kevin, and the entire team the very best of luck in the final.

Corrib Celtic U13 Boys finished off their season with a very impressive win over Kiltullagh — their third league victory in just five days! ⚽

The Corrib boys had an excellent season, playing some unbelievable football along the way. They finished second place in the very strong championship league and were runners-up in the Cup Final, a fantastic achievement.
Goals today came from Eoghan Tighe, Eoghan Melville, and Sean Forde.
Well done lads — a brilliant season to be proud of!

Match Report
Athenry 2 – Corrib Celtic 5.

On a really warm evening in Athenry, Corrib Celtic produced an excellent performance to come away with a deserved 5-2 victory.

The first half was very evenly contested, with both sides battling hard in difficult conditions.
Dylan Duggan continued his impressive scoring streak, finding the net twice with two absolute crackers. Fionn Hennessy added to a brilliant individual display with a well-taken goal to give Corrib a strong platform.

Eoghan Melville got on the scoresheet from the penalty spot after brilliant work by Eoin Tighe, who capped off an outstanding performance himself with a superb long-range effort.

A strong team performance on a tough evening in the heat. Well done to all involved!

U14 Girls Championship.
East Galway v Corrib Celtic.
Sunday, 24th May 2026.

This game started with Corrib Celtic creating a number of chances and hitting the woodwork a couple of times.
It then settled down to an even game with both teams having their moments.
About mid way through the half Belle Foley scored for Corrib.
From there to half time Corrib lacked energy in the heat and East Galway improved creating a few chances.

In the second half Corrib looked like they had their energy back and scored through Holly Mulroe ,before the water break ,mid way through the half.
She scored again on play resuming before East Galway hit back with a goal of their own.
Holly Mulroe went on to complete her hat trick in the final quarter with the final score being East Galway 1 - 4 Corrib Celtic .
