Lenzing PT. South Pasific Viscose We were the first company to introduce high tenacity viscose fibers for textile and nonwovens applications to the Indonesian market.

We have also developed a special type of viscose fiber to meet the unique demands of the new generation of high speed Open End (OE) spinning technologies. Our OE type fiber proved to be an instant success in this very important and rapidly growing market segment by ensuring excellent quality and running efficiency. We enabled our customers to increase yarn sales to markets including Japan, Europe

and America by improving not only fiber tenacity, but color consistency and other fiber characteristics decisive for the production of high quality yarns. In the past years we established the new Asian standard for high quality nonwoven fibers.

PT. South Pacific Viscose (SPV) Purwakarta yang merupakan anak perusahaan grup Lenzing AG Austria telah sukses mengoperasikan line produksi ke 4-nya. Line baru yang memproduksi serat viscose untuk industri tekstil dan nonwoven ini adalah merupakan line produksi terbesar di dunia. Serat rayon (viscose) SPV yang bereputasi tinggi ini ditujukan untuk memenuhi pasar dalam negeri serta Asia yang akan memperkuat posisi industri tekstil di Indonesia.

Tambahan 60.000 ton kapasitas produksi setiap tahun dari line 4 ini akan meningkatkan produksi total SPV menjadi 220.000 ton serat rayon tiap tahunnya, mempertahankan posisi SPV sebagai pemimpin pasar di Asia dan menjadikan SPV sebagai produsen serat rayon terbesar kedua di dunia setelah perusahaan induk di Lenzing - Austria yang berkapasitas produksi 255.000 ton per tahun.

PT. South Pacific Viscose (SPV) is located in Purwakarta, Indonesia. The company has been a producer of viscose staple fibers and sodium sulfate since 1982. The initial fiber production capacity has risen from 30,000 to 165,000 p.a. in meantime. The capacity for sodium sulfate is currently about 100,000 tons p.a. In beginning 2010 our fourth line will come on stream and viscose fiber production will be increased up to maximum 220,000 tons p.a.
