Last week, BAIS was proud to take part in the GenGreen Study Visit in Athens 🇬🇷, where young people and partner organizations came together to exchange ideas, learn from each other and explore how sustainability, sports and youth empowerment can create positive change. 🌍⚽✨

From collective cooking 🍅🥗 and green skills workshops 🌿 to sport inclusion activities 🏃‍♀️🤝 and youth-led sessions, every moment was filled with collaboration, creativity and meaningful conversations. 💬

We were also excited to contribute with our own BAIS youth-led workshop and share ideas with amazing international partners. 🌎🙌

🏅 Sport for All – Breaking Barriers Together | Done!

42 young people from Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Spain just wrapped up 7 days together on the banks of the Danube — and what a week it was.

From adaptive sports and inclusive game design to intercultural evenings and honest conversations about diversity, access and participation, the group showed every day that sport really can be for everyone.

We played together, designed new games from scratch, facilitated sessions for each other, reflected on what inclusion actually means in practice, and connected with the EU Youth Goals in ways that go way beyond a classroom. They swam in the river, stayed up around fire pits, and built friendships across six countries in seven days.

Every participant leaves with a a set of real non-formal learning experiences, and a group chat that's going to stay active for a while.

This project is funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ programme, and it's part of our accreditation journey at BAIS, a long-term commitment to bringing quality youth mobility to Hungary and beyond.

Building Bridges Between Academia and Community Sports! 🤝🎓

​We are wrapping up an incredibly successful semester of cooperation with the Corvinus Science Shop!

​A massive thank you to lecturer Monica and the brilliant, motivated students at Corvinus University for their hard work and dedication this term.

​Through this collaboration, the students provided outstanding, fresh insights and strategic input for Budapest Hikers.

The ideas and data generated will directly help us boost our outdoor community events, making sports and active lifestyles even more accessible and engaging in Budapest.

​We love seeing the impact that fresh student perspectives can have on grassroots sports management, and we cannot wait to put these ideas into action! 🏔️✨
