What could a day aboard SailChata look like?

A quiet coffee in the cockpit before the day begins. A swim in crystal clear water, a quick rinse at the stern shower or simply some time to relax in the sun.

Later, we come together in the galley, prepare food and share the everyday moments that make life on board special.

And as the sun goes down? Some may already be heading ashore, while others stay aboard for one last sunset drink before joining the evening Bachata social on land.

The exact rhythm of each day will stay flexible, but there will be plenty of time to slow down, enjoy the sea, share the experience and dance together.

Meet the SailChata yachts. ⛵🌊

For six nights, they will be more than just our way of travelling between the Croatian islands. They will be our home on the water, our meeting place and the heart of the SailChata experience.

You can expect modern sailing yachts of approximately 44–45 feet, usually featuring 3–4 cabins, 2–3 bathrooms, a shared saloon, galley and cockpit, with around six participants per yacht.

Cabins will be shared by two people, and every yacht will have a certified skipper on board. No previous sailing experience is needed. Just come ready to share the space, help with a few simple tasks and enjoy life at sea together.

The yachts shown in this carousel are probable examples. The final models, layouts and exact features may vary depending on charter availability, but we will choose suitable yachts with a comparable setup and standard for the SailChata experience.

At SailChata, you are not simply a passenger. You become part of the crew.

No sailing experience is required. Our professional skippers guide the sailing and show everyone how to help with the sails, ropes and daily life on board.

Depending on the conditions and the skipper’s instructions, this may mean helping with a line, learning how the sails work, keeping the sailing equipment organised or simply being ready when another crew member needs a hand.

The same spirit continues throughout life on board:
We prepare meals together, take care of our shared spaces, make plans as a crew and look out for one another during the journey.
Everyone contributes in a different way.

The purpose is not to turn the week into work. It is to experience the journey together instead of simply being transported from one location to the next.

Because some of the best memories are not only created at the places we reach.
They are created while getting there.

Everyone takes part. Everyone becomes part of the story.

Croatian islands. A new view every day.

SailChata is not only about the time on board and the Bachata socials in the evening.

It is also about the journey itself.
Sailing from island to island, discovering peaceful bays, arriving in beautiful coastal places and waking up each day in a different setting is part of what makes this experience so special.

Our route will remain flexible and depend on weather and sailing conditions, but possible destinations include Krk, Cres, Rab and other nearby Croatian islands, bays and marinas.

Some days may begin with calm water and breakfast on board.
Others may lead us to hidden bays, swimming stops, small harbours or beautiful seaside locations for the evening.

No two days are exactly the same.

That is part of the beauty of the journey.

More time together. On and beyond the dance floor.

Many of us already know each other from Bachata socials.

We dance together, share a few songs and then go home. But often, there is hardly enough time to really talk, spend a full day together or discover what connects us beyond dancing.

SailChata was created to change that.

A week to sail, swim, cook, laugh, talk and dance together across the Croatian islands.

The Bachata socials are an important part of the experience, but so are the mornings on board, the conversations at sea, the shared meals and the spontaneous moments in between.

Because sometimes the strongest connections begin when the music pauses.

Some evenings are meant for movement, music and the kind of atmosphere that only happens when the sea, the light and the right people come together.

During SailChata, our Bachata socials are not just an extra part of the week. They are one of the moments where the whole journey comes together.

After a day of sailing, swimming and exploring, we meet again in beautiful locations to dance, connect and enjoy the evening together.

Tufan (Go for Social Vienna) will curate and manage the music for our Bachata socials, shaping each evening around the atmosphere and the people on the dance floor.
