We're excited because there are only 7 days left until the Biograd International Water Polo Masters Tournament. Old friends will meet again, we'll play some great matches, and enjoy plenty of fun, laughter, and good company together.

Water polo is one of the most popular sports in Croatia.

Ivo Štakula scoring during a water polo match in the port of Dubrovnik in the 1950s, a period when open-water competitions along the Adriatic coast attracted enormous public interest and represented the heart of Yugoslav water polo culture. Štakula, one of the leading defenders and playmakers of his generation, became famous for his tactical intelligence, physical strength and leadership in the water. Playing for VK Jug Dubrovnik and the Yugoslav National Team, he helped establish Yugoslavia among the world’s strongest water polo nations during the post-war era. The image perfectly captures the unique atmosphere of historic Dubrovnik harbour matches, where thousands of spectators crowded the waterfront to watch elite water polo played directly in the sea, creating one of the most iconic settings in the history of the sport.
