It’s normal for the scale to go up before your period — this does NOT mean you’ve gained fat! Hormones = water retention = temporary weight fluctuations.
Here’s how your cycle can affect you ⬇️
✨ Follicular Phase:
More energy, easier workouts, feeling lighter & motivated.
✨ Ovulation:
Peak strength, confidence high, performance feels great.
✨ Luteal Phase (before period):
More bloating, cravings, lower energy, mood changes, water retention = scale up (NOT fat!)
✨ Menstrual Phase:
Lower energy, slower workouts, but often a drop in water weight.
This is why week-to-week scale changes aren’t always accurate.
