【第二屆「東亞U20田徑錦標賽」 - 次天賽事】 (續)
由中國香港田徑總會及東亞田徑總會主辦,康樂及文化事務署資助,菲普萊提供技術支援,Saucony提供工作人員服裝,全力支持之第二屆「東亞U20田徑錦標賽」於灣仔運動場完成兩日賽事。是次比賽為東亞地區最大型的青年田徑賽事,參加的本地運動員須計算全年個人成績排名才可同場躋身競技。
鍾德澤以15分49秒18奪得男子5000米銅牌,來自日本的YOSHIDA SEI (吉田誠)以14分36秒52奪得金牌。男子跳高賽事,港隊的何澔維以2米02 (失誤次數較少) 奪得銅牌,來自韓國的金俊基以2米14奪得金牌。
男、女子4x100米接力隊亦為中國香港收獲兩面銅牌,男子4x100米接力隊以40秒17奪得第三名,金牌由日本接力隊以38秒99奪得,同時亦打破亞洲U20紀錄。女子4x100米接力賽事方面,中國香港接力隊以47秒28奪得銅牌,金牌則由日本接力隊以45秒83奪得。
經過兩日的比賽,日本隊以13金15銀3銅,奪得第二屆「東亞U20田徑錦標賽」獎牌榜第一名,中國隊以13金8銀3銅奪得賽事的獎牌榜第二名,而中華台北隊則以2金1銀5銅成為獎牌榜的第三名。
【2nd East Asian U20 Athletics Championships - Day 2】 (CONT.’)
Organized by the Hong Kong, China Association of Athletics Affiliates (HKAAA) and the East Asian Athletics Association, subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), major sponsored by Fairplay and Saucony, the “2nd East Asian U20 Athletics Championships” at Wan Chai Sports Ground has been completed. This championship is the largest youth track and field event in East Asian. Local athletes will be ranked by their annual performance to qualify for participation in the competition.
CHUNG TAK CHAK won the Men's 5000m bronze medal with 15:49.18, YOSHIDA SEI from Japan won the gold medal with 14:36.52. In the Men's High Jump, HKAT HO HO WAI HORACE won the bronze medal with 2.02m (with fewer errors), KIM JUNKI from South Korea won the gold medal with 2.14m.
The Men's and Women's 4x100m Relay teams also won two bronze medals for Hong Kong, China. The HKAT Men's 4x100m Relay team finished third with 40.17s, while the gold medal went to the Japan team with 38.99s, breaking the Asian U20 record. In the Women's 4x100m Relay, the Hong Kong, China team won the bronze medal with 47.28s, the Japan team won the gold medal with 45.83s.
After two days of competition, the Japan team won first place in the medal tally of the “2nd East Asian U20 Athletics Championships” with 13 gold, 15 silver, and 3 bronze medals. The China team took second place with 13 gold, 8 silver, and 3 bronze medals, while Chinese Taipei team took third place with 2 gold, 1 silver, and 5 bronze medals.
