Nah, Bri cannot be a more easygoing person and she jumped to the idea of having lunch in a .
We met circa 2017/18 in a teacher training in . At that time of her career, she was known to be that yoga girl in lingerie by the bed - arguably the most watched yoga videos on YouTube. Of course I was a bit star struck. But as I got to know her as a person, I was very struck again by her - normalness - just like you and me.
We subsequently met a number of times in Hong Kong, Xiamen and now finally in . I saw how Sydney grow into a young man, and Taylor, Bri’ eldest, to be old enough to drink, and how she is not known for that lingerie yoga girl anymore, but a well respected truly international yoga teacher and mentor.
Every time we met we would chat non stop - for hours, mostly talking about life, growing older, staying young, and of course about men too 😂. Funny enough, we wouldn’t talk much about yoga, coz deep down we share very similar philosophy and views on yoga and yoga teaching.
No one would eat pig trotter with her, Bri joked. And here I was, pigging out on collagen and in a noisy, hot and busy food centre, where lady Gaga visited too. I guess that’s what friends are for: eating food that nobody else would eat with you, talking 💩 behind your bfs’ backs 🫣🤪 and bitching about and at the same time, appreciating life.
3 hours later, Bri and I parted ways. It was one of the best and most genuine moments in Singapore, in friendship, and my yoga path.
Who knows when we will meet again? But we know we have a place to stay if we visit each other ❤️ or maybe in Thailand too 🤔?
