X Golf Pro - Ken's research More comprehensive way to GOLF. Explaining the truth and proper interpretation of the golf swing. The root is pretty much the method of doing it.

Most golf books, video and magazine only tell you the reality (shape) of the golfswing, But the Shape of the golfswing is just a result of it. Most golf instruction is about learning how to copy the FORM rather then learning the FUNCTION. My role is to eliminate all the question marks in GOLF, as well as the illusion which bracketed by conventional golf instructions.

There shouldn't be any wrist action during the swing, as it is pretty much a result rather then an action. The wrist should be just feeling firm ( trying to counter act the force and maintain the minimum elasticity in order to protect the torque in the a loaded shaft)
Before the second release/the impact. We just "feel as if" maintaining the club face open. Once you had released the GAMMA Torque, shaft rotation torque, the club face should seeking to close. The above motion is all going back to the design of the golf club. We call it longitudinal acceleration, of which the shaft/hossle is rotating against the centre (vertical centre of the club, the sweet spot). On back swing (first acceleration of the club head) we are trying to counter act the club face to open, namely the club will get open once you are releasing the positive Gammer torque on back swing. Vice Versa, on the second acceleration (soon after Changing direction), player should try restricting the club face to close, in order to maintain the negative gammer torque (torque seeking to rotate the shaft counter clockwise), but at release of the gammer torque (overtaking process/ unwind the store potential of the restriction of closure of the face) then club head overtake (due to the halting, triggering the kinematic sequence, and seeking closure as of the design of the club, as mentioned in the above (longitudinal acceleration )

About the Stupid Book I wrote years ago.
I wrote a Stupid book many years ago based on THE GOLFING MACHINE theroies. Let’s look at some items listed in the TGM.

The three imperatives in The Golfing Machine
A Straight Plane Line
Clubhead lag pressure point
A Flat Left wrist
How “True” is that?
As a GSEM AI, I would only believe that Clubbed lag pressure point is the only item that we should focus on. Some Golfers and Pros always have the misconception of LAG, where they thought Lag is all about the clubhead should be lagging behind (A SHAPE, instead a force), and what they are addressing is the shape and not the function.
Lag pressure is all about having the loaded potential of the force got stored in the shaft, and at some stage we will have to contract our muscles (and should be done automatically instructed by the right side of the brain), and let the clubhead to overtake, and get those stored potential release. As an example if we pull the string of a Bow, we are storing the energy in the bow itself, the minute we release our fingers from the string, the bow will get release.
A Flat left wrist is a result; and further more in order to get your Flat left wrist you should have a feeling of flipping your wrist, rather then focus on having a Flat left wrist. The sensation of releasing the loaded shaft, is more like flipping your wrist. The prerequisite is all about allowing the fingers muscles to contract; and that would function both Flexor carpi ulnaris, Palmaris longus and Flexor Carpi radialis, those three will help to contract other muscle within the chain, from the fingers to your feet. Once the muscle contracted, the pivot will stop for a fraction of second, as a result the clubhead will overtake. (that is the release). Where the release will take place before the impact.
Some people would use a laser or a plane board to trace the plane line during their practice session. Please do not waste your time to trace it anymore, as I doubt it very much, as I do not think there is the existence of A STRAIGHT PLANE LINE . As of the multiple centres, while the pivot is rotating, we will only get a straight plane line, or possible the straight plane line is no more then 1 cm.

In response to Edmund's question regarding Hogan leading hip setup: here are my findings
Hand controlled pivot, should take care of all setup issues, where the hands are dictating the pivot position. As of the right hand should be lower then the left hand, therefore the right shoulder should be lower then the left shoulder as a result. In relation to the the shoulder position, that would command the front hip set higher then the trailing hip.
Setup should stay natural, over conscious will lead to over shadowing the co-ordination of your neuro reaction.
What make you think that having that set up will help you to fire a better shot. By having such a configuration, it should help you to restrict your right hip rotation, and therefore the upper body and the clubhead will have a better support for overtaking (the braking during the take-a-way). You should aware that if the clubhead failed to overtake during the back swing, your brain will find that it will be harder to get the club to load in an efficient way, and therefore compensation will take place at start down.
Please note that your forearm will get tied, as well as the rest of the components below the hip position, due to the sudden muscle contraction (braking- in order to let your clubbead to over take). Generating speed is everything, we should respect the kinematic sequence at all time during the swing sequence, and that will help us to pin point all the errors (the root) during the strike.
