The Middle Island Challenge (MIC) is an iconic open water swim race held at Deep Water Bay on the southern side of Hong Kong Island. With its golden sands and crystal-clear waters, Deep Water Bay provides a stunning and welcoming setting for swimmers of all abilities—from beginners to elites.
The event features three distances: a full 🏊‍♂️3.8 km loop around Middle Island🗻, plus shorter 🏊‍♂️1.5 km and 🏊‍♂️400 m races. We prioritize a friendly, inclusive racing atmosphere in one of Hong Kong’s most scenic coastal locations, giving participants the unique opportunity to swim around the famous Middle Island!
