29er UK Nationals 2026 — Hayling Island Sailing Club | 15–21 August 2026

Hong Kong Youth Sailing team wrapped up a rather intense week at the 2026 UK 29er National & Open Championships, taking on one of the most experienced fleets in Europe. With classic Hayling conditions — everything from light, glassy mornings to full‑send sea breeze days — the regatta demanded patience, precision and boat‑handling across all races.

To the wonderful hosts 29er UK Class Association
We sincerely apologize that Team HKG did not arrive at prize giving in black tie. After two months on the road, living out of duffel bags stuffed with sailing shoes, wet gear and emergency duct tape, our sailors simply couldn’t find space for tux, gowns or even a vaguely ironable shirt.
We promise next time we’ll try to pack something more formal — or at least a clean team kit.

With a strong international result for the Hong Kong Youth Sailing Team, we now turn the page to the next big chapter, let's carry this momentum to the start line at the Asian Games.

29er European Championship 2026

Six days on Lake Lipno tested every sailor’s patience and resilience. With glassy water, long AP waits and more races abandoned than completed, this year’s 29er Euros became a mental game as much as a sailing one. Through it all, HKG sailors showed discipline and world‑class composure.

2026 29er World Championship

Team HKG have successfully wrapped up their campaign at the 29er Worlds in Kiel, Germany. Nine Hong Kong teams took on a massive 276‑boat fleet, gaining invaluable international racing experience across a week of wildly varied conditions — from light, tactical breeze to full‑power, survival‑mode winds that pushed sailors and equipment to the limit.
