Ethan Kiu & Louis Polson bring home another U17 Male title on the 29er EuroCup series— this time in Malcesine, Italy over the 1–3 May weekend

Against 74 boats from 14 countries and across 11 races, the boys delivered consistency, composure and world‑class teamwork in classic Lake Garda conditions — from the fresh morning Peler to the full‑power Ora.

Back-to-back EuroCup U17 titles marks a standout month for the duo!

PODIUM FOR HKG888 EMILY & TIFF

🏆🥇🥉Emily Polson & Tiffany Mak took 3rd place overall — and claimed both the U23 and U21 Champion titles — in the 49erFX at the Mallorca Sailing Center Regatta, the training event leading into Princess Sofia Regatta. The top three teams ended the regatta tied on points, highlighting just how tight the competition was. A fantastic result against the international fleet of over 50 entries as the team heads into one of the biggest Olympic‑class regattas of the season.

Congratulations to HKG888 — Emily and Tiff showed resilience and world‑class teamwork throughout the week with tricky conditions.

Shoutout as well to our 49er team, HKG80 AK & Ron, finishing 28th out of 68 entries — a solid performance in a stacked fleet

What a week on the water at the Hong Kong Race Week 2026, incorporating the 29er Asian Championship. Four days on the schedule, and we managed to race three of them—each one serving up a completely different weather condition.

Day 1 kicked off beautifully with sunshine and a steady 15 knots, the kind of breeze that makes you remember exactly why you love 29ers. Day 2 shifted to a rather gloomy sky and 10–13 knots, testing focus and finesse. Day 3… there was no racing as the wind took a break. And on final day sailors waited onshore for two hours before finally getting out there in a soft drizzle and 8–12 knots—classic Hong Kong variety.
