YES SHE CAN - HK Dragonboat Team

YES SHE CAN - HK Dragonboat Team YSC aims to motivate, educate and empower women through sport. Our only criteria is a can-do spirit!

The YES SHE CAN Project was founded by Roberta Rose-Collins and is an official NGO based in the beautiful Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago. Check out their page at https://www.facebook.com/yesshecanproject/?fref=ts. The goal of the YES SHE CAN project is to promote wellness in women with three main focus areas. It seeks to help women to appreciate that they have the power to make choices t

hat will positively affect their lives and influence those around them. The three main areas of focus are:
• Physical Activity
• Healthy Eating Choices
• Self Appreciation or Self Care

The YES SHE CAN HK DB Team is excited to be the first global extension of the YES SHE CAN Project. It was inspired by the journey of an amazing group of women who formed the YES SHE CAN Triathlon Team. You can read about their stories at https://www.facebook.com/trinbagotriathlon/?fref=ts. The YSC HK DB Team will be coached and managed by Nicole Quan Kep (a Trini herself). The 3-month training program will not only prepare you to participate in a dragon boat race but also present the opportunity to become your best possible self while encouraging and supporting fellow team members along the way. We aim to motivate, activate and celebrate our growth, transformation and success on the road to being our best selves!

PADDLES UP!

How absolutely wonderful it has been to hear this phrase after almost 1.5 years!🛶😍

But if there is one thing dragon boating has taught us - it is ENDURANCE! We are stoked to be back on the water after months of restrictions and uncertainties. Special welcome to our NEWBIES who have been working hard, even under not so ideal weather conditions.☔️👏🏻

June trainings were focused on technique, and we are ready to step up our game in July!
Bring it on!💪🏻🦋

No better way to celebrate International Women’s Day than hitting the water with our paddles!💜💦

This year’s IWD theme is Each for Equal, a stark reminder that each one of us has a part to play in achieving equality for all!⚖️💃🏻

It aligns beautifully with our ethos at , where we endeavour to encourage women in sport and create a space where diversity is not seen as divisive, but as our greatest strength!👯‍♂️🌈

So proud to have these fabulous ladies on our team who continue to make waves both on and off the water! We’re all !💕🌸
