What's your favorite running trainers brand? Asics, Mizuno both offered functions for speed, protection and they are the most chosen brands amongst runners with the designs as well.

My impression with Hoka are very heavy weighted with thick midsole. Why on early need to have 2 inch thickness on trainers? Until Hoka Tracer was discovered, the design and colour looks very eye catching and I was surprised with its lightness when I took it on hand. Then, of course I got a pair to try out and realized how much protection Tracer offered and how light they are. Since owning them, I have used them to train for standard chartered full marathon, they offer great protection and feel very bouncy on concrete roads. The Hoka Tracer particularly suitable for 14Km or above training and race. However, I would not recommend to use it for 10Km or below races as they are not pair of road gripping racing shoes like the Asics Tarther and Mizuno Emperor ranges. In addition, the grip is not as well on wet surfaces.

In summary, I Love these pair of Hoka Tracer and just have them finished the AXA street marathon 32.195km. The colour, design with its supports for the distance are worth for its value.

Running season is kicking off~ believe you have done some 5K, 10K, 21K and trail run. Many half and marathons are on their way. This sports watch has GPS, wrist Heart rate monitor, Bluetooth, steps counter etc. the design for Polar M200 is much better compare to previous models, could easily said it looks like Finland made Famous brand Suunto.

Perhaps above functions did not give your surprise. When Polae Hong Kong announced it to be 1280, it did amazed me personally.

Thank you to my dearest friend lent a Polar V800 to let me try out and brought a lot of new vision and sight towards sports to me.

We tested the amount of blood lactate to give us an understanding about our body status. I got 1.8mmol/L of blood lactate level before exercises and after swim and recovery run at 8.5km/hr, the blood lactate level dropped to 0.7mmol/L, this actually proof active recovery can aid to clear lactate acid in your body with a measurable perspective.

This was actually my first experience to swim outside the net for training, which the net are used to surround distinct area for swimmers to swim at beaches and being protected from sharks. It's quite unexpected the reliability with the GPS as it turned cloudy with thunder all of a sudden in this afternoon.

Salomon S-lab Sense 5 Ultra Trail Shoes are light and breathable. The shoes bodies use Salomon patented SenseFit shoe laces design which help the feet to be very stable. Designers create pockets on the tongues which you can fit the shoe laces into the pockets and ensure shoe laces will not clip on anything on the trail. Thumb up to designers for this part👍

The trail shoes were tested in Hong Kong Shing Mun Reservoir and Oakley HK Island race which went through Violet Hill, The Twins etc. This pair of trainers did well on muddy road with its contagrip. They gave fast responses on both dry and wet trails. However, I would say they are a bit hard for normal on road running as the shoes bases are fairly hard with limited shock absorb ability.
