1. 向 UNIF 澄清 2026 年度年費繳納及代表身份相關安排;
2. 暫停以任何組織名義宣稱為 UNIF 香港區代表之相關宣傳及活動,直至 UNIF 作出明確裁決;

OFFICIAL STATEMENT
Regarding the UNIF Hong Kong District Representative Rights Matter
In relation to the recent dispute concerning the Hong Kong district representative rights under the Union Internationale de Futnet (UNIF), the Hong Kong Futnet Association (hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) has noted that certain actions have been taken by some parties regarding the representative status. To avoid public misunderstanding and to safeguard the healthy development of futnet in Hong Kong, the Association hereby issues the following statement:
I. Matters Concerning Representative Rights Procedures
The Association has been recognized by UNIF as the sole representative for the Hong Kong region since 2021. In January 2026, certain individuals, without formal authorization from the Association, paid the 2026 annual fee to UNIF and requested that official information be redirected to another organization’s name.
According to Article 6 of the UNIF Constitution, any change in membership status must follow due procedures, including written notification, a period for rectification, and approval by the General Assembly. The Association believes that the relevant actions may not have fully complied with the established procedures. We therefore hope that the parties concerned will clarify the arrangements through proper channels as soon as possible.
II. Internal Communication Matters
The individuals concerned remain members of the Association. The Association hopes that all parties will first express their views and resolve differences through the Association’s internal mechanisms, so as to maintain organizational harmony and unity.
III. Public Communication Matters
UNIF has previously requested that all stakeholders in Hong Kong resolve the dispute through internal consultation. Nevertheless, the relevant organization has continued to claim in public that it is the recognized Hong Kong district member and has proceeded with related activities. The Association hopes that all parties will adhere to UNIF’s guidance to avoid causing unnecessary confusion among the public and athletes, thereby protecting the healthy development of futnet in Hong Kong.
IV. Position and Expectations of the Association
The Association expects the parties concerned to assist in completing the following matters by 16 April 2026 in order to clarify the situation:
1. Clarify with UNIF the payment of the 2026 annual fee and the arrangements regarding representative status;
2. Suspend any public claims or activities presenting any organization as the UNIF Hong Kong district representative until UNIF makes a clear decision;
3. Provide appropriate clarification regarding any misunderstanding that may have arisen from the incident.
The Association firmly believes that UNIF, as the international governing body, will make a final and fair ruling on the Hong Kong district representative rights in accordance with its Constitution and principles of fairness.
The Association apologizes for any inconvenience caused to all parties due to this matter. We are willing to adopt an open attitude and work together with all concerned parties to resolve the dispute through peaceful and proper procedures, so as to jointly promote the long-term development of futnet in Hong Kong.
The Chairman of the Hong Kong Futnet Association
