✨💦 Agüita Sagrada💦✨

This weekend I experienced rebirth in the waters of the earth, massaged by the untethered force of her energy in fluid form.
I also felt her sadness, of not being honored, of being contaminated, disregarded, unprotected.
Here in Mexico I haven’t found yet places like our state parks in the US that are protected from development and littering. Rather, beautiful natural sites are privatized and bordered closely by restaurants and carts serving fried food on styrofoam plates, and drinks in plastic cups with straws. A lot of the waste generated ends up sprinkled across the scenery or floating in and around the river. The rest is taken to landfills where it still remains on the earth, just out of sight and out of mind.
Being foreigners at this park that was all locals, we drew some attention. I took the opportunity to talk to the people about the pollution I saw ask them what they thought. They readily condemned their citizens “Si, es que los Mexicanos son cochinos” but I noted how in generalizing the condition of the collective they failed to take ownership for the destruction or consider their part in it. They sipped their canned beer as we talked and stepped over obvious trash as they said “Adios!”
This is not unique to Mexico. This happens everywhere. How we can see problems in the world and fail to see our contribution to them. Or better yet, consider what is your part in the solution or resolution of the issues you see in the world?
When you do something try thinking, “what if everyone did this? Would it be sustainable? What is the impact of this action on the local and global community?”

People like to think that it doesn’t make a difference the action of one person doing something such as refusing a plastic bag. But what if we all did it?

No action is too small.
And it’s not that hard people! Switch to natural biodegradable soap, take shorter less frequent showers, use public transportation, bring your own bags to the grocery store and buy in bulk, carry a mason jar, cutlery, straw and cloth napkin on you!
It may seem like a lot of work but you can get used to it and how is destruction of the earth more convenient than (continued

Feeling blessed to travel with other earth lovers who choose to prevent animal suffering by living a plant based lifestyle. I love opening people’s eyes to just how easy it is to eat vegan, it’s just a matter of changing your mind, reprogramming yourself and being an advocate for the voiceless 🐣🐖🦞🙊 I dare you to try it, even just for a week!
Here we are today eating a fully vegan feast complete with handmade blue corn tortillas all lovingly prepared by the sweetest Mayan abuelita in this pueblito ♥️

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted any updates here but heyyyy! Since leaving Tijuana I spent a week in San Diego with the brazilian tea fairy goddess and then spent another week in the freezing mountains outside SD helping Altruist Relief Kitchen build a self sustainable community kitchen to serve Tijuana refugees (checkout this radical humanitarian project https://www.altruistrelief.org !!!)
Then I scurried over to meet .jaguar at La Union New Mexico for a bliss filled cuddle puddle week of vegan tacos, many new fairy friends, tree planting, and lots of chocolate !
Together we journeyed southward on the crazy highways of Mexico with until reaching the magical mountain town of Tepoztlan.
We have covered ourselves in honey in offering to Oxum at a half moon blue lagoon, touched mysterious Atlantean ruins, we made hibiscus nettle sauerkraut, made many popcicles, ate an obscene amount of tacos, set clear and magical intentions, lost and found Luz the cat many times, got woken up by an angry man with a machete, danced ecstatically in the equinox with mamas and bebes galore, and eyed and ate many tasty snacks 😋😜

Currently we are in the dreamy land of Cacau and rainbow textiles, Guatemala. Jaguar is giving an Elemental Activation retreat which I am cheffing for! 🥑🍍🥦🥥🥕
In a few weeks back in Mexico and the journey continues!

I Will be sharing some updates and tips concerning how to eat vegan and eat healthfully while practicing zero-waste traveling thru Mexico! It is all very possible and very nourishing 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
Wishing peace for all beeings 🌻🐝♥️

Happy new moon!!! 🌚 ✨💕
One moon cycle ago I was arriving to Tijuana with a bus full of food and medicine given by generous hearts. I served with all my heart but I honestly can’t help feeling like it wasn’t enough! Realizing the breadth of the beast that is Tijuana and it’s politics and problems. Realizing that it’s hard for me to give my all and vibrate high when I don’t feel nourished by my community and setting. I am recognizing my limits in coping with the harsh environment here. One moon later I am departing with some beautiful friendships made and new plans envisioned. I will continue to help support the humanitarian efforts here from afar. Ruby and I are starting a chapter of in Tijuana so stay tuned for that! And if you know of anyone who is interested in going down to be of service let me know so I can help orient them and connect them with the right people down there.

Today I will be on the road again!! Calling in strong goddesses who want to travel and share joy and healing and nourishment together on a journey through Arizona, new mex, Texas and back into Mexico with the intention of connecting to sacred sites 🌵🌺sharing tea and song and dance and food in communities along the way☕️🌱, and learning about bees and plants and ancestral healing practices ✨🦋
Thanks for the support 🌈
Amor amor amor 💕 💕💕

Last week we gathered folks together for a medicine making workshop/brunch to turn some of the dried herb donations into tinctures and tea blends for use in the herbal clinic and doing community outreach. We even feasted on chocolate chia pudding covered in edible flower!

I am so grateful to know and work with (and eat tortillas with) this angel from Chiapas! Ruby is an herbalist dedicated to serving the community and empowering wombyn to find healing and autonomy!
We are collaborating on some beautiful projects here in Tijuana in our search for more than a “band-aid” fix to the condition of marginalized communities of migrants, deportees, and women. We are organizing a collective of wombyn who wish to work with plants, find economic autonomy, and serve those in need. First meeting is today!!!

I’ve been in Tijuana for about ten days now and it has been a whirlwind. I wanted to update everyone sooner but it has been crazy and I wanted to make sure I fully grasped situation here.
It has been pretty complex and confusing. Basically there are several shelters for caravan refugees that are all controlled by either the Mexican government or private churches.
The only shelter autonomously run by refugees, Benito Juarez, was forcefully evicted by Mexican police a few days after I arrived. Police were not allowed food water and medicine to enter consistently and many refugees decided to hunger strike. After 5 days they all left and went to a church shelter but now many are leaving that one too because they don’t agree with the rules and restrictions set by the pastor.

The government has one main “shelter” called Barretal which is mostly like a prison camp where thousand of the refugees are being held and not allowed to leave and come back. They also won’t let in outside volunteers. This shelter, as with many of the church shelters, has received copious donations of food, clothes and medical supplies, however not all donations are not actually being given to the refugees, but rather stockpiled and often resold!! It’s totally horrendous and as such I’ve tried to be very conscious of where the donations of supplies and money that I’ve brought down are going.
We have successfully donated lots of food to a few shelters that let us and have also given bulk food to Enclave Caracol, an autonomously run cultural community center downtown that houses the TJ Food not Bombs kitchen and the org El Otro Lado which teams immigration lawyers and volunteers up with refugees to educate them about their rights and advocate for them in their asylum seeking process. Enclave Caracol has also been the base for a free medical clinic that also does rounds at the refugee shelters. Enclave had an awesome room with herbal medicine so me and some other herbalist volunteers here have loaded the bulk of our herbal medicine donations into their herb room and have been making herbal remedies available to everyone in Enclave as well as making daily visits to shelters and encampments bringing immunity boosting tea, elderberry syrups, and a complete apothecary to provide herbal first aid to those who need it. We’ve found that a group in need of much assistance that does not receive aid from the govt or churches is a huge encampment of deportees set up right by the border crossing. We have been working with this community and establishing relationships and hearing their heartbreaking stories. Yesterday we cooked up a huge batch of rice and beans, electrolyte drink, and superfood chocolate balls and served it all up amidst a cold rainy day.

We also have plans to team up with a local herbalist Ruby to host some herbal medicine making workshops available for all at Enclave Caracol.

So in summary, serving up lots of tea and medicine, dressing wounds, making and serving food, hearing stories, planning workshops and dancing a little bit whenever there’s good music on at Enclave 😉
Also Enclave is amazing, a conscious and caring community of folks providing for those in need in big ways. Ultimately I see myself collaborating more with them and working with their herbalists to set up workshops open to refugees and hopefully an herbal clinic with regular hours.
Overall the experience here has been intense, beautiful, and confusing at times. I’m seeking to be of the most help as I can with the time and energy that I have. Looking to do more big picture sustainable relief work and still piecing together what that looks like.

THANK YOU ALL SOOO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT, YOUR GENEROUS OFFERINGS OF FOOD AND MEDICINE, AND DOLLARS. Constantly inspired by community and the ways we show up for each other. Your generosity and support is everything to the work we are doing here. Gracias!!!!

Constantly inspired by community. In a moment when I was feeling a little overwhelmed and overworked these angels swooped in with their shining smiles, b***y shaking, and feather light hearts. My soulmates Megan and Luz of the Pisces Moon Collective here donated probably a thousand pounds of organic superfood to the mission AND helped me organize and load it on the bus along with the nearly thousand pounds of food from the Food Bank!!! What!!!! Plus we had so much fun doing it and got to shake our booties at afterwards. Infinitely grateful for friends who are willing to lend hands of help, who make hard work feel easy and playful, and for the rad web of food justice activists that the universe weaves brings me💕

Nube the bus has gained some serious chub but she wears it well. Onward I forge with my trusty steed Nube and my adventure kitty. Tomorrow LA!

So touched by the kind souls at The Herb Shop in Grants Pass for their donation to Sacred Scavenger’s caravan relief mission. Ray the owner put together a stock of over 20 pounds of herbs and medicinal mushrooms to provide nourishing remedies to the refugees!! So blessed to be able to bring this offering down to the border where it is so needed❤️💜
Gracias!!!!!
