Rigging replacement and metal fatigue.
Turnbuckles ,toggles,pins,tags and all rigging connecting parts are have not unlimited lifespan.
They are susceptible to metal fatigue and corrosion.
Clean, check, NDT in case of doubt or replace with new in same quality as the original. Or upgrade even better.
Hundreds of masts are lost every year.
Cumulative over the years we have thousands of boats that have gone only basic wire replacement.
Check all parts throughly for piece of mind.
