The Drakensberg doesn’t reveal itself all at once.
It draws you in slowly - ridge by ridge. Step by step.

Long climbs that ask questions. Descents that don’t let you switch off. Traverses that carry you across open ground where the horizon feels just out of reach.

Water moving through rock. Wind shifting across the escarpment.
A landscape that feels constant, yet never quite the same.

Over race weekend you met it on its terms.
Every runner who crossed a line - whether early or deep into the night - brought something of themselves to these mountains.

Every volunteer who held a space, filled a cup, offered a word at the right moment. You kept it all moving.
Every spectator who showed up, who waited, who lifted the energy when it mattered. You were part of the effort.
And to our partners, who continue to stand behind this event and help shape what it becomes - thank you.

This isn’t built by one moment or one result.
It’s built by everyone who shows up.

And this year, you did.

THANK YOU

That’s a wrap on the RMB UTD100 Miler!

They set off on Friday at 1pm, and after 45 hours, our final runners have crossed the finish line. One race. 160km. 2 countries. And everything in between, the highs, the hard moments, and the kind of character-building that only these mountains can give you.

These runners have reminded us, once again, just how capable we are when we dig deep.

You are all incredible.

YOUR RMB UTD 100 MILER CHAMPION

🥇 rinel_mclaren

FINISH TIME: 41:23:53

Rinel McLaren has built her racing on consistency and quiet resilience. When things got tough, she didn’t force it she settled in and kept moving.

She led from the start and stayed there. Even as the miles stretched on and the mind began to blur in places she kept it together. That’s the nature of a 100 miler and she moved through it with control at times holding a 2+ hour gap, finishing with 30+ minutes ahead of second place.

Well done, Rinel.
An effort that will be etched into RMB Ultra-Trail Drakensberg history for a long time to come.

The RMB Ultra-Trail Drakensberg is defined by scale.

By mountains that don’t simply rise. They unfold.
Layer upon layer of ridgelines stretching into the distance drawing you deeper with every step.

Valleys that breathe. Ebbing and flowing beneath your feet as the route winds through them never quite settling and always asking for more.

Gorges cut deep into the earth where cold mountain springs run clear and constant. A reminder that this landscape is alive. Moving. Enduring.

It’s a course shaped by contrast and continuity.
Climb, descend, traverse, repeat.
A rhythm that becomes instinct.

Out here the horizon is never still.
It shifts. Expands. Pulls you forward.

And somewhere between the ridges and the rivers. The effort and the quiet. You realise this is what it means to keep moving.

YOUR RMD UTD100 FEMALE WINNER
🥇 CELINE CLOETE

FINISH TIME: 13:40:25

This was an insanely tight 100km race by these fierce women. The top 3 were close together for the first half of the race with Annamart in lead until just before Salt & Pepper Aid Station where Celine found another gear and overtook her to claim the win!

A phenomenal day of racing by these women. Well done to all!
