CONDOLENCES MESSAGE
On behalf of the entire Team Kaba 2022 campaign team, we extend our deepest sympathies to the family, friends, football enthusiasts and loved ones of the late Yankuba Darboe, affectionately known as General Yanks.
We are deeply saddened by his passing on Thursday at the MRC in Fajara, Bakau after months of battling illness. Yankuba played a pivotal role during our campaign for the GFF 2022 Elective Congress. His unwavering dedication, exceptional leadership, and commitment to our shared goals were instrumental in securing an unprecedented victory for Team Kaba in August 2022.
General Yanks was more than a teammate; he was a beacon of strength and unity, tirelessly touring the country with us to engage stakeholders and build lasting connections. His legacy will forever be etched in the success of our journey and in the hearts of all who knew him.
During this difficult time, we pray for comfort and strength for his family and all who were touched by his remarkable spirit. May Allah have mercy on his soul and grant him Jannah.
