Mauro Icardi and Maxi Lรณpez were close friends and teammates at Sampdoria. During the 2012-13 season, Icardi joined Sampdoria, where Lรณpez was already an established striker.
They were close off the pitch, and Icardi was a frequent visitor to Maxi's home. Some reports even claimed that they lived together. The two were often seen doing everything together: travelling to training, sharing a room on away trips, and spending much of their free time together.
However, their friendship ended dramatically when Icardi began a relationship with Wanda Nara, Maxi Lรณpez's wife - Icardi was sleeping with Lรณpez wife while they were still married.
In 2013, Wanda filed for divorce, and shortly afterward she and Icardi made their relationship public. And few months later, in 2014, they got married.
The fallout had a significant emotional impact on Maxi Lรณpez career and personal life. He got depressed and later affected his football career.
Today, Icardi's marriage also broke down, and heโs going through one of the worst divorce cases with Wanda. Wanda is demanding a total of โฌ500,000 in monthly child support and a custody of their two daughters.
Icardi is currently without a club and Wanda is now calling him: โA useless man with no job.โ
