A NATIONAL SCHOOL HOMECOMING INITIATIVE.
My Personal Reflection on Giving Back.

For a long time now, I’ve been carrying an idea in my mind,something I strongly believe could transform our education system, especially at the grassroots level. It’s a personal thought, born out of love and deep respect for the teachers and schools that built us. I call it “The National School Homecoming Initiative.”
The idea is simple but powerful,and possible. Imagine a day, or even two, set aside each year for every former student to go back to the school where they began their lower basic education. A day when we all return to our roots, to the very classrooms where our dreams first began. On that day, people from all walks of life, teachers, journalists, engineers, business-people, even the President, would visit their former primary schools.Not just to visit, but to give back.
Some might bring materials, others may donate money, and some may simply share words of encouragement and mentorship with the children.The contributions gathered that day would go directly toward improving facilities, supporting teachers, and motivating pupils.
And beyond giving back, imagine the reunion. Old classmates meeting again after decades, sharing laughter, stories, and memories of childhood days. Friends who once sat side by side,smiling, embracing, and remembering where their journeys began. Imagine the joy and pride, a President returning to his first classroom, an engineer fixing the roof of the classroom where he once sat as a child.
I genuinely believe this initiative could inspire unity, restore dignity to our teachers, reconnect old friends, and strengthen the very foundation of our education system. Let’s make “School Homecoming Day,” a national reality.
