The Gambia is taking part in the first African Esports Cup of Nations, currently underway in Casablanca, with the country represented by Ismaila Touray in eFootball, a competitive football video game played professionally as part of esports, organised digital gaming competitions.
Touray was selected by the E-Football Federation of The Gambia to compete in the tournament, which runs from January 15th to 17th 2026 and brings together 48 African nations.
The Gambian delegation is supported by Mustapha Njie, Chief Executive Officer of TAF Africa Global, whose D15,000 donation helped fund the playerโs preparation.
